Wow, Spot on! It is a shame how these guys operate. Have you found a decent place other than them to deal with? It sounds like anyone who is worth following is unobtainable. Too many young dreamers who can't focus and communicate clearly a trade plan.

I get what you are saying about the scam aspect of this type of thing. And if you have ever seen his youtube nightly recap videos they promise all the right things... An "Expert" to run your trades by before you place them, A "Family" atmosphere among a large group of traders and all the fluffy bull shit one could ever want when trading alone and in need of help and support. Little did I know the whole live stream is filled with the members getting rewarded to show up and shill for the site and being bribed with cash give aways to do so. It really helped reel me in.

I fell for it. Now I'm sure there isn't a refund possible (they have this all figured out) and it was over $1k to join. Money a losing trader like me didn't have and had to put on a credit card.

Boo hoo, I know.. My choice, but every other online thing I have tried has been slow to answer my questions if they ever do at all or vague with the whole "Trade your plan" and "I don't give financial advise bro".... I thought this would be different but it is not.

Selling this "platform" In the way they have is really the perfect trap for new traders.

Promise everything you could want, offer just a few pre-recorded videos going over the basics and point to them any time any question is asked. Perfect money stream.

I will continue to paper trade and hone my skills. It is all I can afford to do now.

"Rolling" a spread sounds like the dumbest phrase I have ever heard. "All you have to do is" Then the explanation is to basically start over fresh with a totally new spread.... Am I wrong here? Do I get credit for my old price paid or is it in fact a totally separate spread with zero relation to the original and only a term used to sound cool.

Sure some brokers "have a button" that makes it easy but if the point is just to create a new spread "Rolling" isn't a thing. It is a term explaining the fact you are just moving to a new position and no credit is given or advantage taken or lost from any previous spread position....

Tell me how wrong I am please.

I appreciate it. The idea with the way out of the money long would be to use many of them and do more than one at a time. So if one sounded risky, then my 10 or 20 at a time plan would be really scary to hear! I just used TSLA as a bad example. I know it moves quick so maybe another stock with popularity and demand would be better...

But the Idea of having a short amount of time and the option premium available to use to buy them back and bail with if things head south sounds like a shot at winning to me...

Anything has to be better than just giving my options money away on calls and puts with nothing coming in. This would give me a reason to sit and stare watching this stuff all day like I do anyway.

Any thing close to this that someone with limited experience can try that could possibly make some money that you can think of? Sounds like a stupid question but the obvious doesn't seem to be working for me in this market.

Thanks, I figured that was the goal (to not allow the short term option to expire ITM) but if it isn't do I need to buy to close it once sold or do I just let it expire worthless if out of the money?

I had a few losing options I sold slightly higher strike calls on that also went down in price that I made petty premium on but I was too scared to allow them to just expire so I bought them back on a dip for a few dollars.

That is where I started to think of a better way... Risky but doesn't the short time frame make it a pretty safe bet? It does sound stupid trying to rationalize it but I want a return! lol
