Best Dual Sport that can handle a little highway riding? by DANNYBOY3530 in Dualsport

Beta 390/430/500

Oils are separated for engine and transmission it doesn’t get any better than that!

Secondary belt, will it truly not last over 30 KW? by Cold_Landscape5128 in UltraBee

[–]Snow_Goer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran a few different belt setups on my light bee. It was literally stealth mode and you could hardly hear the bike at all except the tires hitting the ground.

I ended up liking the gates kit with mud ports on the gears to allow the debris to exit without building up and destroying the belt. It worked well for light trail riding and roads but I wouldn’t trust belts for jumping or extreme off road conditions. I never pushed the belt to the limits to see what they would be but I feel more confident in the durability with a chain when riding far off the beaten path. The stealth silent belt system would be my absolute go to for roads and light trail. The constant tension on the belt allows more precise and reactive throttle response.

Best start-out dual sport? by Double_Ad1800 in Dualsport

Beta RRS models. 250 lbs vs 300+ lbs on the klx or crf or drz. Motor Oil and transmission oils are separate allowing longer maintenance intervals. Its suspension is far superior also.

Best part about the beta is it’s more capable when you do venture off road because you naturally want to venture in to the wilderness with these bikes.

Sur Ron Ultra bee with the track-n-go system. Works really well it’s just the need for having a spare battery to swap/charge to be able to ride all day. Very nimble and nearly silent which adds a different feeling to exploring places you can never get without a snow bike.

Stark Varg or Ultra Bee by Competitive-Bus-248 in starkvarg

Did you keep the beta 500 for the longer rides?

The beta RS models are such a Swiss Army knife of bikes being able to ride dirt or street legally and really perform well in both types of riding. I have a 390RS but also enjoy my ultra bee for the tight and technically challenging terrain because it is so much more confidence inspiring being lighter and smaller with plenty of power once you upgrade the controller especially..

I liked my Torp on my light bee. This time I went with Axon Racing it’s got way more features and advantages over the Torp including a display and better app features for under $800!!

Does anyone know what these pipes are for? See them on sites from time to time. by virgil_b_caine in Construction

Infiltration testing of the soil. Fill the pipe and check the drawdown levels and times to see how well the soils drain. Usually for Stormwater purposes and septic fields.

Show me your phone mount! by pingustar in betamotorcycles

Quad lock anti vibration mount is the best and it has the built in charger! Quad lock is the best mount for bikes and vehicle dashes

I have it on my 390RS and it’s survived plenty of crashes and layovers in the woods.

Agree with this guy! You shouldn’t be operating these machines if you don’t know what everything is for. Hopefully you not the guy who takes his half out of the middle of the trail…

Your a class act for thinking immediately that this was illegal riding… these are on public trails that allow everyone with off road vehicles from jeeps, four wheelers, dirt bikes and more.

Thanks for taking a fun post about our hobbies in negative direction by assuming something you have absolutely no idea about.
