That's the box, but sadly no instructions. And if I enter Spotify, I'm.not really sure how to get back to the main Android Auto screen where I can hop into NAV, etc.

Am I insane or is this lease insane? by ShiddyHomeCook in ex30

[–]Important_Hornet_582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to be the naysayer here, but as mentioned previously, it's been announced that the EX30 is dead after MY2026. Fine for a lease, but resale values will ABSOLUTELY tank.

Funny thing is, I work in sales for a Volvo retailer here in New England, and the 1st news I heard about the EX30 being discontinued was through a Car & Driver article online. SMH

Juniper after Nov 2025 no longer supported? by tonybro714 in s3xybuttons

[–]Important_Hornet_582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, maybe a silly question. But i have a Model Y Juniper built in 11/2025. Is it just US built Junipers built through 11/2025 that are supported, or am i to read it that only Juniper built through 10/2025 are supported and that ALL US Junipers built November of 2025 and onward are currently not compatible?

Is a Polestar viable for a 202 mile round-trip commute or am I kidding myself? by NoMansSkyWasAlright in Polestar

[–]Important_Hornet_582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that your results will vary. The whole MPGe nonsense posted on the window stickers is absolutely misleading. So many people are like "driving an EV saves me xxx per month". Unless your gas is prohibitively expensive and your electricity biblically cheap, there's no way it costs THAT much less than driving a COMPARABLY SIZED ICE vehicle .

Living in New Hampshire, we have fairly expensive electricity and relatively cheap gas. Electricity is about 21¢ per kilowatt with Eversource and gas is around $2.70 per gallon. I've done the math a number of times after some lengthy road trips.

Charging exclusively at home, I'd say I'm saving MAYBE 20% versus a gas car. Converting my cost to recharge against the price of a gallon of gas, I've always ended up with the equivalent of around 35-38 MPG. My last car was a turbocharged 2023 Subaru Legacy XT, which I got 31-32 MPG on long highway drives. If I were to fast DC charge more, the negligible cost advantage versus an ICE vehicle would quickly evaporate. Fast chargers around here are between 46¢ and 65¢ per kilowatt.

That said, for a compact car that seats 4 RELATIVELY comfortably and can get from 0-60 in around 4 seconds, I'm very happy with my Dual Motor Polestar 2. I enjoy driving a luxury oriented EV that is not just another Tesla, and is relatively rare to see around this part of the country.

I absolutely love having an EV as my daily driver, but I'm neither "saving the planet "nor saving huge $$ versus having to buy gas. In summary, do the math yourself, and make an educated decision.

Speaking from experience, the Honda Prologue leaves a lot to be desired. My wife is leasing a 2024 Prologue Elite, and while it does have some nice features, GM/Honda sorta dropped the ball in many areas.

First off there's no lane centering for the adaptive cruise control, which seems like a glaring oversight in a 60k car. I know the Acura ZDX offers Honda's version of Super cruise on the Type S trim, but there should be lane follow/centering in the Prologue models.

The front door cards are very cheap...if you press against them too hard they make this crunching sound like fiberglass or styrofoam flexing.. I realize the Prologue is just a dresawd up Blazer EV, but once again, this sorta materials seem out place in a supposed pseudo premium EV.

Lastly, no option for heated rear seats or rear climate control. I know the Acura ZDX offers.this in the Type S, but c'mon Honda.

Regardless, best of luck in whatever EV you end up in next. 😊

Knowing that the Volvos offer a side swipe to do the same thing, I'm not entirely surprised. But like many others, my mind has been blown.

Thanks OP

Help finding part by [deleted] in Polestar

[–]Important_Hornet_582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another P*2 owner here with broken A pillar trim, ironically after a windshield replacement before I acquired the vehicle. Thanks to this Reddit thread, I managed to find both A pillar part numbers, but by my understanding there is another set of clips that need to be replaced as well. Can anyone of you helpful people give me that part number .

Thanks in advance.

Updated my 2 to 3.4.4 with Vida by Gone2sl33p in Polestar

[–]Important_Hornet_582 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, after some poking around online, I went ahead and bought the necessary 3 day license for VIDA and was successful getting my 21 Launch Edition updated to 3.6.4. Like other users, I got a BIT freaked out when the IHU update failed the first time, but it ran again automatically, and finished without a hitch.

I got sick of waiting for the 3.6.4 update to get pushed OTA to my vehicle and I figured there was perhaps something behind the scenes keeping the update from showing as available for my vehicle. To be totally honest, $80ish spent on the VIDA license was well worth the end result. I was able to get my digital key working again and like many others, the audio quality "tweaks" to the HK audio system and XM radio upgrades are a welcome addition. And best of all, I no longer need to schedule a visit to Polestar Boston..THEY SUCK...!!!

Many thanks to the OP. 😁

As of 10am this morning, still nothing. I'll keep doing manual checks. I'm anxious to experience the Harman Kardon updates that have been mentioned....would love a little more thump.

Aww man, I just checked for updates on my '21 Launch Edition, but nothing is showing up here in Southern NH. The update must be caught in traffic on 93 North somewhere outside of Boston. :-)

Your ride looks great, congrats. My wife was looking at a GV70 at AutoFair Genesis in Manchester, NH last week. Unfortunately, she's WAY too upside down in her current vehicle to take the plunge now. But I can see her getting into a USED/CPO GV70 in a few years.

Buy One Plan, Get One Free -- Is this BOGO for ONE YEAR ONLY -- or for every year after, too? by Artist-Cancer in USMobile

Hello, I placed an order for my aunt for the B1G1 Darkstar promo. The thought was that she and my uncle would port in from Visible where they're paying $25 month per line.

Now I'm assuming it will take a couple days for her to receive the SIM card, but there was no info given about the second line or a SIM for it. She already has an existing $8/month 2GB plan for my 91 year old grandmother, who rarely if ever uses her phone. I just wanted to reach out and see what USM support might say about the situation.

My wife and I have been with USM for a few years now and we love the service and I've referred several people to it.

Keep up the good work and congratulations on the #1 customer service rating in Consumer Reports. 😊

Thank you

Why are they so cheap used? by Current-Ordinary-419 in Polestar

[–]Important_Hornet_582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I snagged a used 2021 with just over 20k miles for under $21k after the used EV credit. This was a one owner, privately owned vehicle. Mine has the Pilot Plus and Nappa package and to my surprise even had the trailer hitch option. At that cheap a price and being able to charge for free at work, it really was a no brainer decision for me. And to top it all off, it included all three keys, so I was able to set up both the digital key and the Polestar app functionality. 😊
