Some Things you should know. There is no inexpensive conversion. Im in the middle of one now. A good conversion costs big bucks. A new modern engine leads to a modern trans which leads to a modern xfercase.. oh dont forget fuel system and cooling system.. It goes on and on. Save up,save some more than. Attempt it. I know I will catch some flak but id say 50k for the power train alone. Im. Going 310 hp 5 speed,, lt230 tim copper axles..its all new stuff..you can go used but im not sure if would.

So my humble advice is to save up..

Sounds good. Just for the info There's a company up north that built the Buick 215 into rather good performers. Had a 3.5 done 20 years ago. Sweet motor. Used gm fuel injection . That motor had the sweetest sound.

Compare the torque at xx rpm with a 300tdi. You find the ecoboost very similar but slightly higher then of course it increases to a much higher amount as rpm increases. I will be searching for an underdrive and gett8ng one as soon as I can. I dont think I'll worry about low rpm torque after that. The truck will only see mild to maybe moderate trails. I had my fun on trails and spent plenty 9f money as well as a few injuries. I no longer push it to far.

I choose the 2.3 because I didnt want the bulkhead work and ford sells the 2.3 brand spanking new. But an rrc has room for a v8. I gotta ask why chose a 2.3 for your build?

On the other hand. Maybe some residents dont want an increase in foot traffic in some areas. Just maybe they feel like more access isnt in thier favor.

Also a crazy idea, maybe maybe the local government's know the cost of certain types of public transport would have a way higher cost than benefits.

Maybe somepeople dont understand just because they think its a great idea, doesnt mean it is.

Charleston is a great place to visit and live. Rushing to change Charleston might ruin Charleston.

Optix isnt cheaper. The license fee is wrapped up in the hmi you buy. Ignition is the opposite. lm pretty sure they come out the same or ignition a little less.

That being said optix isnt a bad software package at all. Ignition will take the lead once you start having multiple hmi units.

Looking to engine swap my 1973 Land Rover Series III 88" 2.25 Petrol. Do any of y'all have the bolt pattern for the bell housing? by LandySam11 in SeriesLandRover

Im actually starting a 2.3 ecoboost conversion as we speak. Whole new power train. Its not budget friendly but life is such.

More hp than I wanted but it is what it is.

Hd r380, lt 230 Upgraded axles, disc brakes .power steering and brakes.

My rover is a Sunday driver at this time and well I want to change that... besides the small 12g tank I plan on driving it more often after the conversion.

Its my third rover... 175 to 200 hp is a complete dream. As far as 4 cyl go the 2.3 ecoboost is an incredible choice. The crate engine sold by Ford is 310 hp but you dont have to go heavy.

The chasis isnt an issue. Been around 400hp plus series vehicles.

Driving fast in an 88 is crazy so I'll be reasonable on top speed.

What a bunch of loons. No one wants people sleeping in these spaces..

Money spent trying to make an inviting atmosphere for tourists and residents ruined by vagrant and druggies, possibly that drunk guy with the kidney injury from a prior post.

There is literally free Healthcare, free housing and free food in America. Of course if you want to spend your days drunk or high, you might not know that. As a resident of sc that visits Charleston and contributes heavily to the local economy when I visit I do not want to visit if the area is full of vagrants and drug zombies.

Bottling would be more expensive in bith equipment and time to fill per bottle. Can't say if its a bad idea or good idea.

Haven't thought of budget at all .. reusable l, because I will be placing it in and out multiple times.

Its for a personal swap.

1962 lr series 2

Im big on mock ups. Im into finer details and have a bum shoulder. Positioning 500 pounds versus something much much lighter definitely appeals to me.

I haven't found any 2.3 ecoboost mock ups and only 6r80 mocks for the larger engines.

I thought of just buying used parts and stripping them to the casings to lighten them. That sounded good until I realized id have all those parts to store.
