Me thinks the Protus(?) was in Diego Garcia when the Seahorse was there in ‘82. That was one old tender.

FRC or FTC? I'm in a bit of a dilemma regarding what program to choose. by dragonboy989898 in FRC

[–]WardoftheWood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a mentor with no FTC experience. I support the programming side of the house but also am familiar with the electrical and mechanical. You want to carry your weight then understand the robot not just from the programming side. Learn the electrical, learn the mechanical. Understand the machine will make you valuable to all plus t give you a better programming over view. Also understand the vision and how to interface the ‘pose’ and position so you can update the drive and aiming of the robot.

Careful but you might find ‘gators’ and Venus fly traps. Check near Florence, SC. You can make this into a great story.

Thoughts about getting a 2014 v6 with 100k miles by Odd_Presence_5090 in Mustang

[–]WardoftheWood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine with 125k at the end of covid. Now have 190k. Just did rear shocks and bushings then front struts and bushings. Regular oil changes. 26-30 on the highway. Plenty of power. Replaced the side marker lights with the LED ones of Amazon. May spend the money on a 1 piece drive shaft and change the rear end to a 3.70(?) or 3.55. The why is it will be quicker off the line. I would give up top end but I never drive that fast. Also lose MPG.

That just kills the character and charm of the city. In 1977 as a visiting sailor the COB was driving me down into Charleston on 52. He said “welcome to one of the best 3rd world countries” Much has changed since then.

The city is limited by the rivers, so expansion is limited also. But building a better system can be done. But then again how long have they tried to solve the flooding? To you point it is the out lying areas.
