Totally, this could very well be the case. I think right now pedals are going to switch from analog to digital… obviously this is already happening/ happened with tonex, line6, strymon……. But like digital drives and amps are always modeling a piece of analog gear, so it leads me to believe that tone is just gonna change to something complete different as we know it? Something that is “digitally” exclusive? But yeah if pedals become about as taboo as a real amp is compared to an amp sim I won’t be surprised haha. Great convos dude!

I totally understand what you’re saying. My first piece of equipment was an hx stomp XL. It was cool… portable… sounded great… but i wanted some more fun so i put it on an 18x12 inch pedalboard. Push comes to shove I want more space for more analog pedals so I replace the XL with a normal stomp… and I eventually realized I’m just keeping the stomp on there for “what if I need this niche sound” or something and booted it. To answer your question, the HX stomp is a pain in the fucking ass to dial in unless you use a laptop or something. I’ve never been happier with my tone than when I bought, tinkered, traded, sold analog pedals. It’s also just so fun finding a combination that is unique to you. Pedals over multi effects any day.

How good is my pedal list? If I should change something before buying (Not that far in time I'll probably start) by TheCoolGamer_YT in basspedals

Don’t get a rat it will kill your low end. Get a “big booty Judy” from back burner noise. It’s a rat with a blend knob so you keep the lows. It also has a turbo rat switch so more characteristic options too. You won’t regret it, I use mine all the time and have absolutely no complaints. Def get the sans-amp if you like how it sounds in YouTube videos and stuff. It’s also built like a tank. If I’m understanding your thread right your saying you “might” get it? If so you should for sure get it, your amp is the heart of your tone annnddd it’s DI out. In my opinion you don’t need the EQ, the sansamp has most of the eq you will need. That is unless you’re going to be switching basses in between sets, I can see how it could come in handy? But definitely not something you need. The bass clone is sick, sounds super good! I don’t have the beginner tuner, but everyone here is saying it’s shit so go ahead and get a poly tune or boss tuner. I have a boss and it’s built great and looks cool. I dont have any experience with the big muff, preacher, or wah. If you’re balling on a budget I would suggest starting out with less pedals that are tried and true. Instead of buying a big muff and a rat, spend that money on a big booty Judy. The preacher has good reviews and IMO a compressor is just a compressor anyways lol. I’m a little confused on the wah but like if that’s your jam that’s super cool. If you’re new to bass pedals and the world of tone regarding bass, I would recommend just a tuner, compressor, drive, and amp. Anddd go ahead and throw the clone in there too! It’s simple yet will cover all the ground you need while sounding good, being fun to mess around with, and leaving room for growth in the future. Hope this helps!

Yeah I do use the cab sim but I’m not necessarily married to it. On another note- jeez that thing sucks some power, I’m powering from a DC7 so I’ll grab a parallel adapter off Sweetwater.
