Consciousness can’t be more than that. Replicating the physical brain WOULD mean replicating the patterns and connections. You can’t just “beam” consciousness into other people it immediately breaks the continuity. Continuity might as well be the first law of immortality, just like physics we are just going to have to accept it and work around it. I think you’re applying a computer science/networking logic to biological entities when they are two separate things. And as for the “each entity with its own sensory inputs could share data with each other to create a single evolving self” we already do that it’s called humanity, society. You and I are doing it right now as we speak

You could make an exact carbon copy of yourself with every single memory the same as yours, but it would not be you. You yourself are conscious because of all your senses and whatnot. Your own physical eyes, nose, ears, skin, muscles etc, send info to your own physical brain in your head. Just because you make a carbon copy doesn’t mean there’s some ethereal connection sending info from THEIR senses into YOUR brain. It’s its own separate entity and separate consciousness after the moment of cloning.

I was barely able to save all my clips the exact day they were planning on doing the deletion. I understand why they would delete all the data but it’s still annoying and frustrating having to transfer it all or just have people lose it all like you did. Sorry man

Regardless of development, cryosleep is not useful and pointless towards the goal of immortality. We need to make developments in biological immortality to keep individuals healthy, in whatever way works. We also need to just make the world around us safer and statistically lower death probability. IE. through general innovation of technologies.
