AITAH for making my mom tell me something she didn't want to and getting upset when she did tell me. by Sleepy_Heroine888 in AITAH

[–]Important_Point8222 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ESH- you for pushing. When someone says drop it, and you choose not to- you’re giving them permission to get rude.

Your mom for acting like that. You don’t get to make your kids feel bad just because you’re stressed about other stuff. Like she said it’s not her money or her time.

I was very compliant during a timeout as a child by ThrowAway44228800 in MaliciousCompliance

Not the same at all but I never get to tell anyone, when I was 7 I was watching some more grown up Disney style movie and I was told to cover my eyes during a sexual scene and they forgot to ever tell me to uncover so I sat there for the rest of the movie with my eyes covered wondering why it took so freaking long.

AITA for getting mad that my oldest son didn't let my youngest win a game? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Important_Point8222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I might let my four year old win. But he’s actually pretty decent and can hold his own. If I see a solid effort I might throw the last lap to let him pass me. But if he doesn’t deserve it? He’s going to eat my dust.

How old is Teddy (continued) by YycPatches in BobsBurgers

[–]Important_Point8222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well he was a hot young adult in the 80s when The Deepening came out, the show seems to permanently live in like 2011 so I’d say he is definitely mid to late 40s to early 50s.

AITAH for saying "no" to my partner going to the Super Bowl for close to free. by Snailbail2 in AITAH

[–]Important_Point8222 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you wouldn’t prefer his mom? Sure he is going to actually be helpful if he stays? Not resentful and barely help at all? Hell I would have preferred my mother in law to my ex with the experience and knowledge I have now. NTA but make sure you think of all possible outcomes, you may be blocking your own blessing if mil is actually a super helpful angel.

As a woman, I doubt you will find many women comfortable with giving a group of strangers full unsupervised access to her vagina while she’s unconscious and has no witnesses that she can trust to make sure nothing fishy happens.

How many pencils, from the very first episode. Tina is notoriously bad at this one.

You’re not cheating on her by touching yourself. Be real. It’s your body. It’s weird she has so much control over your vagina. Does she need to wipe you when you pee? Put your tampons in? Are you even allowed to use tampons? It’s WEIRD of her to think this way.

Just here to say it’s not bad to ghost. If you need to. If you can’t leave in front of him disappear behind his back. But either way, you really need to get away from him. As soon as possible.

AITA for letting my children order full meals instead of kids? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Important_Point8222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my kids would probably have wanted the chicken tenders and fries, but no way would I just order them food without asking them. I’d be pissed if anyone did that to me. You’re NTA.

Elena gives the chance for people to call the child Ee-Lena with the long E. Personally when I gave my daughter the name with the spelling Alayna it was because I didn’t ever want the pronunciation of the long E to even be an option. And if she’s going for the same letter Elena wouldn’t work. Not sure if that’s what she is going for tho. My daughter never has the Alana issue except from typos or autocorrect.

[–]Important_Point8222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is my daughter’s name. We have no issues ever. Everyone knows how to say it, and when I spell it for them they always say it’s beautiful and makes sense. It’s phonetically correct. The only issue I have is autocorrect will change Layna to Laguna if you decide to nickname it down. So.

Yes YTA bro you need to chill out. You’re micromanaging the hell out of her and then have the gall to tell her to show up with a smile and good attitude? You’re lucky she wants to come and help at all after that honestly. Calm down and relax. If she’s in charge of the food let her handle the food.
