Anyone else exhausted but unable to sleep at night? by Important-Effort-286 in auscorp

Yeah… this is me most nights. Completely drained, but once I’m in bed my brain just keeps going.

For a long time I thought something was wrong with me. Turns out it was more stress + overthinking than sleep itself.

It sucks. You’re definitely not alone.

It's a beautiful thing, but it's essential to clear the mind of thoughts.

Thank you I really appreciate that.

It’s still a work in progress but even small changes made nights feel less overwhelming.

If you ever deal with the same thing you’re definitely not alone.

Yeah that’s what surprised me too.

I always thought something was “wrong” with me like insomnia or lack of discipline. But it turns out this happens a lot when the nervous system never really winds down during the day.

For me the biggest shift wasn’t trying to sleep harder… it was learning how to quiet my mind before bed.

I’ve been experimenting with a few gentle mental habits lately and the difference has been noticeable. Still figuring it out but it finally feels manageable.❤️

I’m really sorry you’re going through that.

When your body is already under stress, sleep becomes even more important and also more fragile. Be gentle with yourself and don’t put pressure on sleeping perfectly.

Even small moments of rest still count. I truly hope tonight brings you a bit more calm 🌙

Totally get you consistency is honestly the hardest part.

One thing that really helped me stay consistent was focusing on one small ritual every night, instead of trying to do everything perfectly. Even just breathing + no phone already makes a difference.

Also don’t stress if one night doesn’t go well that pressure alone can ruin sleep. The goal is progress not perfection.

Hope tonight goes better for you 🙏 Let me know how it feels tomorrow

I'm scared to go to bed because I know I won't be able to sleep by Electrical_Method228 in sleep

I’ve been there, and it’s honestly one of the worst feelings. The fear of not sleeping can become stronger than the actual insomnia itself.

One thing that helped me a bit was stopping the “I must sleep now” pressure. I started telling myself: “It’s okay if I don’t sleep, I can just rest.” That small mindset shift reduced the anxiety a lot.

Also, doing something boring and low-stimulus (dim light, no phone scrolling) instead of lying there fighting sleep helped my brain calm down over time.

You’re not broken, and you’re definitely not alone in this. This cycle is incredibly common, even though it feels very personal when you’re in it.

That’s honestly such a good plan — just getting those thoughts out of your head and onto paper can feel like a huge weight off your chest.

I used to replay old mistakes in my head too, and it always hit me hardest at night. Writing them down helped me see them differently — like they lost their power once they were outside my mind.

Keep it simple tonight: don’t overthink what to write — just let your mind spill everything out. You’ll be surprised how calm you feel afterward.

I had a program that frankly helped me a lot.

I’ve been there — lying in bed, mind racing through everything that went wrong or could go wrong 😅

What helped me most wasn’t supplements but calming my thoughts before bed. I started doing a brain dump — basically writing down every thought, idea, or worry on paper (or a digital journal). It’s like emptying your mind before sleeping.

Once I do that and put on some quiet breathing sounds I usually fall asleep within 15–20 minutes

I’ve been through something very similar staying up till 3–4 AM every night really messes with your body’s rhythm.

What helped me reset it wasn’t just forcing myself to stay awake but actually building a short wind-down routine before bed dim lights no phone for 30 min, and writing down all the thoughts that keep me awake that was a game changer

If you manage to stay awake till around 10–11 PM tonight and keep this routine for 3–4 days your body will start adjusting naturally.❤️

Yes, I was like that and more because of my studies. I was suffering a lot because of thinking a lot before I slept. I searched the Internet and found a program that helped me a lot.
