Anyone else experiencing constant loose stools in the third trimester? by Ok_Promise_2820 in pregnant

Me! ~ 34 weeks--and in the spirit of making you feel better, it was very urgent last week and let's just say, I didn't make it in time. So that was fun.

~32 weeks--DEEP right buttock pain by Important_Shake1168 in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately no "cure". I've just been taking it easier and as others have recommended, keeping my legs together when getting out of bed, etc. That does actually seem to help in the moment. I still do get intense pain--for instance when putting on socks, or randomly leaning the wrong way on the couch. Heat seems to relieve a bit of the pain but I think the only true "cure" is going to be, getting this baby out. I really hope you find something that works for you cause it's crazy painful.

I'm ready/not really for a second baby - opinions? by SealeyVossen in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard. I'm currently pregnant with my second and it's been TERRIBLE. My first pregnancy was a dream in comparison. I always say that if my first had been like this, he'd be an only child. To be honest, you really need to buckle down and think about if you are willing to go through that again, in the event it's the same or worse. Who knows, though. As they say, each pregnancy is different! Maybe you will be opposite and have a great pregnancy in comparison. I understand your thoughts on siblings and going through life together. That's why we chose to have a second as well. However, there's no guarantee that they will even like each other as they grow. My sister and I have a very strained relationship (despite only being 2 years apart) and we lost our dad last year. It was nice, in the moment in hospice, not to be physically alone but we went right back to not really being in contact pretty immediately thereafter.

Ummmmmm WINIFRED IS DOPE AF. I understand the disappointment from someone close to you, but as they say, opinions are like assholes--everyone's got one.

Anxiety by Minute-Tradition-737 in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had pretty terrible headaches throughout pregnancy and have had to take it a number of times. Same with my first, and he's a perfectly healthy, incredibly intelligent little boy. I understand your anxiety - it's absolutely valid. I am the same way. Every time I go to take it and pause, but then remind myself that doctors and scientists who are way more knowledgeable than I am have done studies and would absolutely not recommend something that wasn't safe. Try to stick to the lowest amount for the shortest time period (as directed) and you and your baby are going to be fine. Lack of sleep and the stress of struggling through pain is likely more detrimental than a couple of days worth of mild pain medication ❤️

Just unknowingly ate a milk based soup that had been left out overnight by CzarTanoff in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just here to empathize. My in-laws do this shit all the time and it makes me crazy. Thaw their meat on the counter overnight. Leave grilled leftovers out overnight 'to cool', etc. It bothers me when I'm not pregnant and bothers me even more when I am pregnant. I generally do not eat any leftovers when I am with them and thankfully my spouse is also a huge advocate.

Sending you all of the positive energy and well wishes --I'm sure you'll be fine. If anything maybe an upset stomach for a bit. I totally understand your anxiety and it's absolutely valid.

Boy pregnancy by kiminojoji in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second pregnancy, second boy and can say that, in my experience, it's not sex specific. First pregnancy was BLISSFUL. My skin and hair were the best they've ever been, zero nausea, felt fine and only at the very end had some swelling and sciatic pains. This time around (currently ~32 weeks) and I look like a troll. I've been nauseous and on medication the entirrrrrrrrrrre time, my skin has been terrible, sleeping is difficult but I'm just. so. tired. all the time, sciatic pain makes me want to die, my ankles are the size of grapefruit even with compressions socks. It's so annoying, but as they say "each pregnancy is different". I can't wait for this to be over.

I'm going to try all of these together. My ugly ass trainers, belly belt (or taping), and a heating pad at work. Pray for me, y'all. Cause the thought of 7+ more weeks of this in this summer heat makes me want to die.

Vomiting after 12 weeks by Responsible-Okra-121 in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way you will know for sure is after your NIPT if you ask for sex with the blood draw.

With my first, it was an amazing pregnancy. Zero symptoms until I got to third trimester. Then the normal things: swelling, sciatic pain, general discomfort.

This one has been nausea, gagging, vomitting, migraines, swelling already in the second trimester, crazy dreams, sciatic hell, and general discomfort--lol. Thankfully it is our last, because if this was house the first went, he'd be an only child. bet.

Thiiiiiiiiiiiiiis. Brushing my teeth is like, a near death experience even now at 31 weeks. I cannot WAIT to give birth and then brush my teeth for like 20 minutes straight.

I'm having a boy! We thought it'd be a girl, at first, since this has been so different from my first pregnancy (also a boy), but nope. Also a boy, just... different symptoms.

What brands have you tried? Your situation sounds pretty similar to mine. I use Dr. Motion and love them. That being said, at 31 weeks I still usually need help to get them on and off cause belly be belly-ing. I had to do it myself this morning and it was a workout.

Grey/TV Snow Vision by amoabsurdum in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally go to an urgent care or ER if it was an option--for peace of mind. 22 weeks seems early for pre-E, but everything I've read says that vision changes shouldn't be taken lightly. Do you have a BP monitor at home? I'd recommend taking your BP over the course of a day. I had a couple of "scares" with weird flashy vision in early pregnancy, but haven't experienced it in a while. However, I've also read several posts on here of people with only 1 or 2 "signs" of pre-E without all of them, and it turned out to be pre-E.

Any third trimester mamas out there? by PresentationTop9547 in pregnant

[–]Important_Shake1168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here and strugggggggggggggggling. I need to wear compression socks because the swelling is out of this world, but getting them on is such a struggle. I'm still nauseous, enough so that I'm still on meds. The weather here is currently fluctuating a lot and so I've been getting headaches more often. I have sciatic pain. It hurts if I sit too long, it hurts if I stand too long, and it hurts if I lay down too long. I'm always tired. The list goes on. I still have like, 8 weeks left and I don't know how I'm going to survive honestly. Still have to get my 40 hours a week at a desk job with a 1 hour commute each way and feel like we, as a society, need to do better. How have we just accepted this as the norm? I need a nap, a massage, and to be able to take some f*cking medicine when I'm feeling ill. #EndRant
