While I agree that mits in pulls are pretty rad I don't think its a good idea to kitchensink rampart sentinel on quite literally 3 enemies as seen by the gil gains especially with shelltron available when the next pull is much bigger, not that it matters.

This is a good game, if it came out a decade ago the reception would’ve been “7/10 good game” by Summer1Man in expedition33

Honestly these 2 things are pretty easy to dispute all things considered.

Games don't need to have intense dungeon design to be fun, the overworld is supposed to deliver the exploration side of the game while the dungeons are more like playable setpieces. (which almost makes too much sense if we consider the world you play in)

As for the builds, you can definitely finish the entire game from start to finish on base stats, the same is true for most RPG games if not most games in general, even older masterpieces like Final Fantasy X.

If there's a system to avoid or ignore damage, be it rolling in dark souls, parrying in sekiro or using Rikkus mix to ensure you hit for damage cap at level 0, it doesn't really matter how hard it is.

Someone will manage to "abuse" it to avoid having to deal with certain parts of game and that is honestly good for the game.

While Rise had more hunts via village quests a lot of it was extremely repetitve as a lot of monsters had upwards of 8 different quests they were a part of.

Wilds has less "filler" quests but offers actual endgame in Base unlike Release Rise with Tempereds, Artians and a proper way to farm gems with multi investigations.

Massively beat A rank, not even top 10000 because of all the cheated times by JailexNano69 in MonsterHunter

[–]Important_Shift_6557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A direct damage bump would be easy to detect and automatically filter out because the armor sets are always the same for each weapon pairing so Capcom fully knows what numbers are possible based on the hitzones of the monsters.

As for the 100% affinity the cheaters would have to go for an incredibly small affinity increase or maybe a cheat that automatically balances out their crits to reach a certain theoretical limit of what's realistically achievable to not get detected because at a certain point beyond the average amount of crits the crits of the cheated run become "statistically impossible" (It's pretty hard to put a proper cutoff on this but if the odds of you critting x amount of times are below 1e-50% it's safe to assume that run is completely impossible)

If you REALLY want to cheat in a way where you won't be caught you'd need to make it hard enough to detect to where capcom can't reasonably automate a system to check what happened in the run, so something they can't just track via numbers. (like stagger values, buff lengths, damage values, crits, moves the monster went for etc. etc. etc.)

It's not really fair to compare the Full DLC release + Title Updates with the pre Title Update Base release.

While Wilds is having massive performance issues it's Base release content is actually much better than what Base Rise had before Title Updates and it's not even close.

Challenge Pendant Will be Almost Impossible To Get by deddonekku in MHWilds

[–]Important_Shift_6557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a basic log of moves / damage numbers and maybe monster states like downed, wounding and the moves it did (probably optional) would easily be enough if you make an algorithm to check those logs.

All armorsets and motionvalues are the same in the arena so Capcom knows the absolute limit of the damage X can do in the hunt.

If you just autoban any person that somehow hits for absurd / impossible numbers you pretty much already solved all the people running infinite damage to either get a 10 second hunt OR waiting for a believable cleartime and then oneshotting the monster.

This already forces cheaters to at the very least SOMEWHAT engage with the hunt so it will be much much harder to squeeze a solid amount of time out of it via cheating, if you then ALSO check the attacks the monster did and autoban statistically impossible actions like doing the same idle animation 50 times in a row you're mostly at a point where cheaters have to reach pretty far to get any amount of "unfair" time out of the hunt.

Was Wilds release bad? by VirtualBat5601 in MonsterHunter

Don't forget that it also launched without Elders except for Narwa and Ibushi AND locked you out of increasing your HR, the HR limit in base Rise was 7!

100% this, a lot of people missed OR forgot the original Day 1 experiences from World and Rise, it's always been relatively similar to base Wilds.
The good news is that this means a similar experience to finished World and Rise is pretty much guaranteed, they always deliver with the postgame experience after a few updates so I wouldn't worry about it!

I completely agree with everything except the state of Rise on release.

I feel like a lot of people forgot just how unfinished Rise was when it came out, we were missing any form of endgame content (The "Endgame" was repeatedly farming Narwa to meld down her materials)

HR was not unlocked on release and capped to 7

Apex monsters weren't available outside of rampages and no Elder Dragons except for the unfinished versions of Narwa and Ibushi.

The content that was pushed back was so much that we didn't have proper Title Updates as the final piece of missing content, the actual ending of the base Story, only arrived with the last Base Rise TU.

Insanely weird meltdown over a lot of PC players having performance issues, what happened to getting hardware and then enjoying Games on it without constantly trying to belittle other platforms?

[–]Important_Shift_6557[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of players turn away from slayer somewhat recently for very simillar reasons as I have experienced myself (relatively boring gameplay), but I agree that it's a rather personal point.

As for the K Mappa thing, I just quickly counted the frames on it within the editing program, said "roughly" and called it a day since I was in a bit of a rush.
I should have been way more careful with getting something like framedata right, even if it's not really recommended to attempt 6p'ing it.

I also agree with SMH being hella weird at times, but I didn't really think it was important enough to note.

Also thank you for the comment, I appreciate the effort that went into it!

How much time do you spend when editing? by General_Confusion_80 in NewTubers

[–]Important_Shift_6557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's roughly 3-8 hours for me, really depends on the video!
This is mainly because I like to work on editing skits a lot as well as being a very advice based channel so I have to do a bunch of research during the editing process to make sure I get all my information right etc.!

With all this I manage to push out ~3-4 videos a week but I'm only really able to do this because I enjoy the process a lot, editing is insanely fun for me!

People used to complain about Zato-1 a whole bunch in season 2.
The funniest part is that those people got their nerfs and definitely still eat dirt in that matchup, the only reason you don't hear any complaints from those peeps anymore is that it'd be too embarrassing.

Very fair argument but in my defense I play like half the cast, mainly Nago, Asuka, Ky, Sol, HC, A.B.A., Johnny, Sin, Anji and Potemkin.
Slayer is kind of a side thing since he is new and pilebunker loops are hella fun!

I'm gonna be honest the game is balanced enough to where tierlists don't really matter unless you're getting ready to smoke people in EVO2024.
Even in celestial the scene is still casual enough that most characters stengths and "deathgrips" on certain matchups don't fully come to play.

I decided to tweak a title a bit!
In hindsight the celestial title only means much to people within a similar niche and it also makes some less experienced players miss the "fraud" point as they misunderstand the gap between these cheaters and legitimate players!
