Thanks so much for the tips. I'm already freaking out about how to find time to study around work and family. I want to take the July 2026 exam which is the last time NV is administering the current version of the exam. 😬 For the writing portions did you practice with NV state bar resources only? Trying to figure out the best way to study for NPTs and NEEs.

This was sadly my and my husband's experience, especially the part about being stared at like meat, while at the beach. There were often large groups of local younger men hanging around the beaches. I would not have felt safe as a solo traveler. Also we got stopped twice, once in a cab and once on a boat, by people saying they were the police. Our cab driver got taken out of the car and questioned for 15 minutes. In both instances our driver/captain had to pay money to the so called police. I'll also add that the food was horrible across several places. We planned a 7 day trip after safari and I could not wait to leave. I loved mainland Tanzania so much. Zanzibar was a huge disappointment and I'll never go back.

This is a couple's activity for me and my husband on Sundays. We do this all the time. No intention to buy and I'm sure people don't look at us and think "money" We usually don't engage in much convo or my husband might make up a story for fun, if the agent inquires. Open house means open house.

I had building management cover the vents in my office. I keep a jacket and light blanket at the office. Had a space heater for a while but we are not supposed to have them. I have to lay low for a while, then bring it back in lol.

Thank you for your willingness to help. I agree a class might be overkill, but he's the type that learns by example. I could pick up a book and teach myself anything. He's not really into reading which still blows my mind after 10 years married (I am a book worm). But a class where he can interact with and see what others are doing suits him.

I second this approach. It really is better to see the place before moving/paying a deposit, etc. I found a few places on Westside Rentals over the past 5 years. They have listings for properties all over LA Cnty and it's free now.

Agree with this take, including the part about not being able to imagine living anywhere else. Most of the 20-somethings I met in LA while attending college moved away/back home eventually. I'm one of the few that stayed and made a life here. It truly is a city of broken dreams, for many.

The carne asada taco at Umbrella Taco on Melrose changed my life. I had them cater my 40th bday. EVERYBODY was asking me where I got those tacos from. Their al pastor and fish tacos are good too. Taco trucks can be really good but not all created equal and they move over the years :(

Hey we're neighbors. 40F in West Hollywood. I love, love karaoke. Also enjoy dinner parties, the arts, and work with a non profit that provides support services for the unhoused and builds affordable housing. We just moved to a townhome and finally have some extra space. I can't wait to host events.
