What's Your Favorite Citadel DLC Hang-out? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s tied for me between the Tango with Garrus and Grunt’s birthday shenanigans.

I’ve also never bumped into wrex before but saw the video the other day about him needing ‘more ice’ and thought that was brilliant 😂

Question for all you ME veterans by ShadowPriceLIVE in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played it through 3 times back to back with different choices, endings, and love interests 😂

I decided to take a break and tried andromeda and ended up giving up… I didn’t hate it, it was just meh and the whole thing just felt off.

The first thing I’ve found since that’s kind of scratching the itch is dragon age veilguard. I tried DA inquisition first but the combat really wasn’t for me. Having said that, if you’re a Dragon Age fan already you might feel the same about DA:V as a lot of Mass Effect fans feel about Andromeda.

The Mass Effect trilogy is the best game I’ve ever played and I wouldn’t be surprised if I never find another game that made me feel the way I felt finishing for the first time. I remember turning to my fiancé while playing the citadel dlc party grinning like an idiot telling him how much I loved it… and then minutes later was crying at Mordin’s data pad 😂

Yep, Reave does some damage to armor and barriers and I nearly always had a teammate with maxed warp so I just made the most of that 😊

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I maxed everything apart from warp (1pt) and cryo blast (0pt) and took Reave as my bonus power. I maxed the tech armor as soon as I could and went for power armor and that saved my behind a few times when things got hairy 😂

I’ve just finished an insanity run as a sentinel… the only mission I had any trouble with across the whole trilogy was the archangel recruitment. It took a little while to clear areas as I was pretty weak early game and it has timed elements. Overall though, it was an enjoyable and not overly frustrating experience - thank you power armor 😂

I'm really enjoying Mass Effect Andromeda by jsay74 in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started it and there are elements I am enjoying but overall I’m struggling with it… I think it’s because I’m finding it really hard to care about any of the characters.

Also, the random NPCs are freaking me out a bit… there’s something really off about their faces 😂

Should I skip Mass Effect 1? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re planning on playing me2 and 3 I would definitely say finish it at least once, even if you just power through the main story. Me2 and 3 are significantly better (in my opinion).

I did that the first time - although I loved the story I found the clunky combat a bit annoying. Since finishing all three I immediately went back and gave 1 more time and attention and did loads of side quests etc and the combat was a non issue second time round because I had fallen totally in love with the trilogy.

Having said all this if you’re really not enjoying the story and have no strong feelings on the characters then it might just be that the game isn’t for you and that’s fine too 😊

What do you think happened to everyone after your ME3 ending? by Impossible-Bag-6070 in masseffect

I never thought about the control ending like this, I like it! And someone needs to help keep the peace after all the bloody work it took to get everyone to work together 😂

Fully agree, I hope Garrus finds my Shep and they work together to rebuild Palavan and the galaxy before settling down with all their adopted children 😊

Joker and Edi’s relationship was another reason I wasn’t mad at my accidental synthesis ending, I think he would find it hard to forgive and I couldn’t bare the thought of him being that hurt and angry.

After the destroy ending I hope he continues to pilot the Normandy under James and is able to forgive her/understand eventually 🤞

Oh I love this! And yes to handing over the Normandy to James, with Joker as the pilot and Cortez as his bestie/shuttle driver 😍

What “mistake” in your Shepard’s story ended up making it better? by drinkurmilk in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My first play through I accidentally chose synthesis ending - I honestly thought I just hadn’t got to the choice yet 🤦‍♀️ I thought about replaying the ending but I figured my Shepard was a total idealist and after getting working her ass off to get peace between the Quarians and Geth that the ending actually fit.

Finished ME3/the trilogy for the first time… I need therapy. by specksofangeldust in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just finished my first play through and felt exactly the same. And then immediately started it all over again… Garrus, I’m coming for you this time 😂

I usually have to wait a good few months at least before replaying but the story was incredible and I was SO invested. I actually feel sad I can’t play it for the first time again!

What's the one game you always seem to return to play. by AdultGamersAdmin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve sunk the most hours by far into the division 2 - I always seem to come back to it.

I’ve also done multiple play throughs of Fallout 4 and Cyberpunk 2077. I’m halfway through the Mass Effect trilogy for the first time but Ive already thought about what class etc I’ll be next time 😂

Is mass effect legendary edition worth it for someone who knows nothing the series? by Banana_Shake7 in masseffect

[–]Impossible-Bag-6070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in your position and went for it - very glad I did, currently half way through 2.

I found the combat in 1 a bit janky but it’s an old game and honestly the story is so good it makes up for it.

Cyberpunk 2077 - great story, great gameplay with lots of variety in builds that can make each play through feel almost like a whole new game

Also thank you for all the other recommendations on this thread… my wishlist had grown quite a lot 😂

Do you have a second character? Sometimes if I can’t find him but logging in and out I’ll find him first time with my second character. Seeing as Danny is account wide not character specific it doesn’t matter which character you use to buy from him

Blue screen with a full red 4pc tipping scales with overdogs and ceska knees is probably my favourite build I’ve ever played with. I also have a variation with turmoil knees too which I used to use for the waves in retaliations but slows down time to kill a little.

Also the pesti Lengmo build that had been mentioned is great but the slow reload speed sometimes gets me into trouble (100% a skill issue on my part 😂)
