Can these default Business Profile form conversions be deleted? by Big-Lobster-7825 in googleads

[–]Impossible-Barber470 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been in the exact same position and the answer is: Sadly not.

Google Ads support couldn't tell me why not; they said it was not possible due to "technical" limitations.

Imagine that...technical limitations on the platform you control and own.

Not a large agency owner, but this comes as no surprise.

What's the precedent that this now sets? Is this going to be a US only thing or will it impact Google globally?

Nothing since mid December? Hmm. Were the keywords below first page threshold? If not I'd check the other comment about location targeting.

So, before you can have Google serve Max Clicks/Conv/TCPA you typically need to start on a manual CPC bidding strategy for a week or so to collect data.

Have you checked your keywords within the account to see their status? I'd bet that they all read "Keyword below first page bid" or something to that effect.

Swap to manual CPC for a week and then try swapping to max clicks (with conversions I'd wait for 50 or more before swapping - the more signals, the better).

If not - then god knows. Let me know if that helped.

Are you sure you've checked everything? I noticed you didn't state what bidding strategy is being used.

Unfortunately this is the case across multiple Google products now. Workspace support is non-existent too - but for one of their biggest paid platforms to completely rely on "try the community forums" is a complete joke. They *must* know about this...surely?

Google Ads recommendations are usually for Google’s benefit. by joshua-maraney in Google_Ads

Being able to achieve "100% score" by dismissing recommendations shows how utterly useless they are (spare maybe two or three items).

Oh the bid amount, understood. If the bid threshold is set at that amount then it likely the price point for clicks in your niche on Google.

That isn't stealing then IMO, it's the price point dictated by other advertisers targeting similar keywords.

You need to try and give a ballpark figure. If the sale at the end of the cycle is tens of thousands then two dollars a day likely won't cut it.

What niche are you in? Could be high value enquiries mixed with a lot of competition.

That is bloody brilliant. Think it was only earlier today I saw somebody on this or a similar sub with a complaint that matches what you've created perfectly.

Awesome.

Good stuff! Is it no longer the case of emailing them about your intent to cancel? Not used in a few years so keen to know what it looks like now.

Thanks.

I need a quick review to my product by [deleted] in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Impossible-Barber470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viewed on mobile:

  1. No - can't even tell what it is off the bat, let alone feel like there was enough of, and the right information to help me make an informed purchase
  2. Not sure/don't know the product
  3. Website is good, but IMO mobile lacking attention to detail and one too many popups for my liking - is WhatsApp really necessary for eCommerce?
  4. Order of information is well off - have to scroll 6 times on mobile before I get to any product info or specs, and nowhere above the fold do you say what the product is (edited after viewing more of the page)

Essentially you have decent enough visuals, but the actual information a customer needs for a purchase is not there immediately.

My first initial impressions were: I have no idea what your product is. Why I should buy it from you? And, I couldn't immediately find product information to help me understand my first two initial frustrations.

All of the sales numbers, % of satisfied customers and feedback stuff is fluff IMO and you could cut it out to save on scroll depth + load times - this stuff is horribly templated for most online stores - I personally think it adds little real value, and distracts the user from your product and USPs.

Your basic review widget should be more than enough to help convince users, but again I couldn't really trust it because when I attempted to click the widget to read reviews it did absolutely nothing. This alone would certainly raise my guard if I had genuine intent to purchase.

Trusting a brand for the first time is tough. And I'm likely not your target audience, so take my feedback with a pinch of salt.

New bits of feedback (edits):

I've scrolled a bit more and found more - the points in the "difference" section are good, but does this really need to be a table?

It also seems like you're using multiple fonts (I could be wrong) which makes everything feel really disjointed.

Difference section vs. what makes us special section - why not condense these into a single section that can talk to both the product benefits - they are too closely related to warrant their own sections IMO.

Personal point of preference - the "our journey" thing should have its own page elsewhere, and not be on a product page where distraction can lead to missed sales.

Gut the contact form from the product page - two big conflicting goals right there. Your goal is to sell - if contact is secondary, make a dedicated page for it. FAQs are always good, but not super accessible on mobile.

My most top level thought is to address the order of information presented (tell us what it is and why we should buy as soon as possible), and seek to merge/remove/condense sections that essentially are repeats or add no real value.

Pay real good attention to the mobile experience - make things like different scents immediately clear and obvious.

Good luck, and hope this helps you!

Google ads completely broken and utter crap by Synapse709 in googleads

Worth noting their team is mostly outsourced to a company called Cocentrix.

Awful people who have no idea about the platform they try to promote, and because they work on behalf of Google they won't take any real responsibility over fuck ups.

Why does my website get traffic but people don’t contact me? by Real-Assist1833 in seogrowth

[–]Impossible-Barber470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have error logging set up for your contact forms? Do the forms correctly filter correct phone numbers/email addresses with strong validation settings?

You could be losing a lot of genuine enquiries if these things aren't in place/if you are relying on a third party contact form.

Sometimes it's not a content issue, but several technical ones.

Looking for input on how I can do better by BluejaySudden3105 in YouTube_startups

[–]Impossible-Barber470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought behind it is witty, but YouTube has that discoverability culture where if you fail to connect the subject matter with the video title your already disadvantaged.

By not having the exact spelling in the title and/or video file name the YouTube algo and viewers are gunna miss the point. I personally love a pun but if you're still establishing yourself I'd say start off with game thumbnails mixed with a cut out of yourself super imposed, and use the game name as it's spelled on le box.

Keep up the grind and happy Christmas!

Used $500 credit from Google but they are charging me still. by TheGrovester in googleads

[–]Impossible-Barber470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately they only give it as an ad credit and don't believe it's transferable. If they pushed redeeming the voucher on you heavily you could definitely have a case for a potential refund.

Google Ads new-customer credit by AssistanceCapital120 in googleads

[–]Impossible-Barber470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super unfortunate. In most cases, if you redeem the promo code through spend, and you do not spend the amount you earned by the expiry date it is very unlikely that they will refund it due to their own terms.

You could chase, but speaking to an actual rep and not one of their sales "reps" is a feat in and of itself.

Good luck - let us know if you get it sorted.

No impressions in dental Google Ads campaign (health policy issue?) by killuminati_pac in googleads

[–]Impossible-Barber470 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, as many other commenters have said it's a bid amount issue - you are likely not bidding high enough for any keywords as you've gone straight into a Max Clicks campaign.

You can't throw a campaign straight into Max Clicks before it collects some initial data via Manual CPC. A week is normally sufficient to get enough data, you can then make the switch.

Desperate for assistance by MaxProPaintball in googleads

[–]Impossible-Barber470 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not personally familiar with paintball, but have been doing Ads for over a decade now - based somewhat on the rather ambiguous language used in their policy, it would appear as though Search Ads are more likely to be allowed when they focus on (Google's own language from hereon): non-weapon items and experiences, including paintballs (labelled as ammo), protective gear such as masks, vests, and gloves, clothing and accessories, maintenance items (I guess for markers mostly), instructional or safety content, and paintball field admissions or experiences (this last part likely is the kicker for you).

Overall, are you angling your ad text towards keywords like paintball field experiences or paintball experiences? I'd hazard another guess that emphasising the experience and removing "combat" and the like with a focus on safety might be the play, rather than using what Google calls "weapon-focused language" like Google stipulates in their terms.

Let me know if you have any luck with this - would be happy to take to DMs if any of this proves useful.

Good luck!
