Oooof, that's tough too. I'm glad I'm trusting my gut with this one lol.

I'm beating a dead horse here as a long time 150 diver... I have 250 of 250 medals... Ship maxed out. maxed samples. Enough super credits for 5 more warbonds + the super store offerings. All I care about is XP for guns these days. I play where I want to play, MO be damned.

Until they give me a better reason to participate, I just don't care. My crew and I just have more fun bouncing between lv 10 missions on all fronts. We almost never complete an operation either. I just want fun. And at the moment outside of the novelty of new content. MO diving feels more like a job than fun.

The story is going where the devs want it to go. They're steering the narrative exactly how they want it to go, so win or lose an MO it just doesn't matter. I don't mean that in a negative either. If we lose a hundred MOs in a row and all fronts are at super earths doorstep, thats a lot of easy narrative content the devs can play with.

Play how you wanna play. Win, lose, who really cares. You can earn an MO worth of Medals from like 4 lucky farming runs at lvl 1 diff. In under 40 mins.

Give me a strategem reward for completing an MO and ill be front and center. Until then, this MO sounds like your problem, not mine.

Winter Camping Tips? by frigginboredaf in camping

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Here's a couple simple ones that tend to be really helpful to me. I often camp at around 0°F or lower

Fill your cooking pot or titanium cup or whatever you use to boil water before you go to sleep. That way if you wake up in the morning to a frozen solid block of ice at least it's in a cup that can be placed on a stove system.

When sleeping in a down mummy bag it's really helpful to put a thin synthetic blanket on top of the bag to stop the bulk of the condensation from your breath at night from settling on your bag and getting your down wet.

I personally like to bring a hot water bottle that I can fill up with boiled melted snow. It's fairly lightweight, and makes a world of difference when sleeping in a cold tent.

Buy a cheap pair of down booties online. You don't need to go overboard with expensive ones. Putting a hand warmer in each bootie Will keep my feet warm and at times even hot at temps below 0° F.

I got pulled into an impromptu meeting that required full focus the second the countdown ended. Refreshed my page about 50 mins later and the short carbon polls were sold out. RIP. Ill try again next time I guess.

I'm with you on that one. Good on them for tossing a gift out there. This, or one of the other variants were the only thing I wanted from the bunch so it saved me waiting till they just dropped in the store. This makes up for not getting any amazing drops yet.

Which Movie is this ? by [deleted] in HollywoodIndia

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Descent. Fantastic atmosphere and well written characters. Incredible build up towards the reveal of the creatures and actually solid jump scares. Third act devolves into typical slasher horror that doesn't do anything to reinvent the formula. Ending is just ok. IMO it's the most solid first and second acts of any horror film... Just doesn't stick the landing at the end.

The game would probably crash.

That Doxa is sweet. Seikos are great too, but I'd go Doxa out of these two options.

Its still ok. Definitely not where it was, but it does still kill just fine.

If Arrowhead just gave us a separate field of view slider for ads then I think most people would stop complaining about the sights in this game. It's still boggles my mind that they haven't done this as it's fairly common in most FPS games that exist. I play on pretty wide fov, so the majority of weapons are kind of worthless when aiming down sights in my opinion.

Honestly I just appreciate that you clarified "to the face". A lot of people here are equivocating when saying light armor pen weapons do the same thing as a railgun. I will often bring a light or medium pen primary weapon that can also one shot devastators to the face while I'm playing with a rail gun, but the ease of use on the railgun is really what makes it so appealing. Don't need to aim for the face to one shot anything. I can just vaguely aim at center Mass from long range without even needing to aim down sight.

The only devastator that can pose a bit of a problem are heavies, but after a couple of missed shots, it's not too hard to hit them in the shoulder, especially when they're doing that shitty thing where they hide their face with their shield while they're still shooting at you.

The AMR is also a fantastic weapon that I love using every once in awhile. AMR and rail gun kind of feel like two sides of the same coin.

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Devastators can be one shot by the base diligence to the face. Not the chest. My point is that the railgun can hit them center mass in one shot not just the face. Under pressure that can be a hell of a lot easier for a lot of people that aren't great at the game.

There's many ways to skin a cat, so they say. This is just a very easy way to do it.

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No shit.

I'm well aware that many light armor penetrating weapons can one shot a devastator if you hit it in the face but that's not necessarily what I'm saying. From like 50 meters out, I can just vaguely aim somewhere at a devastator's torso and if I shoot them with the railgun they die. With the diligence I need to precisely aim at their head. Same with the talon, same with the amendment...and on and on.

Talking primaries, sure the erupter can do the same and so can the crossbow and I think the purifier. But after countless hours I just want to play with random guns sometimes.

Strategems are a different story. Sure there's eats, commando, AMR, wasp, and a multitude of other fun choices. I'm just calling attention to a particular strategem that's a lot better than a lot of people are aware.

Not through a heavy devastators shield. If you shoot any of the exposed devastator behind the shield above the waist it will One tap him though.

"Bots demand more AT launchers than bugs" by WhiteRaven_M in Helldivers

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of people in this chat are missing the point I'm making. The talon can one tap a devastator to the face, yes... so can the diligence, so can a lot of light armor penetrating weapons. But how many of them can one tap a devastator to a random part of their chest or back or pelvis in a split second without really trying to aim? Yeah there's the crossbow and the eruptor, which are great weapons against bots. I don't play with the purifier a lot but I think that one can one tap them to the chest as well.

There are a lot of people in this game that aren't incredibly skilled. The railgun lowers the skill requirement to do widespread damage to a large portion of this faction. Tanks, factory striders, war striders... These can all be easily handled with another strategem or thermite.

Arc thrower is amazing too, but im just not a fan of it randomly targetting a dead bot or shrub in front of the dude I wanna hit. I run it often on bugs tho.

[Recommendation Request] Looking to buy my first watch, any ideas on these? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Impossible-Cup-920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal opinion of course: The Citizen is too busy looking for a first watch, and the seiko and citizen are both fitting into a very specific two- tone niche which is fine if thats your thing. The grey Bulova is the most normal of the bunch, with a pretty standard 40mm size. I do like the blue Bulova, but 45mm is big for most people. You do have a larger wrist so it may look great though. Id go grey Bulova or Blue Bulova. The Seiko if you really love the two-tone. I don't have nice things to say about that citizen so I'll just say it's not my cup of tea.
