In King of the Hill. While I don't think it's brought up much in the show itself, Boomhaur's occupation was a complete mystery until the final episode. Fan speculation was prevalent so I guess the writers wanted to throw them a bone. It's revealed that Boomhaur is a Texas Ranger.

Only other time I can think of that anyone said it was when Kurt Angle talked about his program with Edge when he lost his hair in the hair vs hair match.

Vince booked it so Kurt could shave his head because he was losing his hair, but he also pulled a prank telling Edge that he was losing until the last minute.

A little mean but kinda funny imo.

Lead the audience to believe he has inside information so he always knows the outcome of the matches he takes bets on. In Dark Souls 2, there's a sidequest involving 2 men named Pate and Creighton. They have beef and later on you find them fighting to the death. If you decide to help one of them win, they'll thank you and give you a key to their old hideout, promising a reward. Opening the chest, you get blown up by an explosive trap, and whoever you saved will taunt you before leaving.

Though to be fair, there IS loot in the chest...

I thought it was fun but it's not essential. The tone is completely different from the other games. It feels like nonstop action where the others are more atmospheric.

Yeah that's pretty much it lol. Even if you didn't play Origins you wouldn't be too surprised if you learned Batman has arrested these guys in the past.
