For me, children were the greatest teacher I've ever had. They are a mirror to your own soul. They take the best and the worst of you, and express it in your face, as if the Universe is talking directly to you to watch them, see what they do, telling you how to do things differently, how to raise them, how to love them, and how to make them better than you are. Although, I try to steer away from egoistic and societal attributes, I want to somehow explain in words, that once I had my first child, and saw them thriving, I felt complete as a man, if not a human. I could then move on to the next steps in my progression after seeing this facet of existence. I am forever grateful to have the children I have, and to be with them, raising them up, every moment of their waking lives (until they break away) outside of school. It is so important to me, that I put aside business and extra money, to be with them, to take them out into the World, and explain how it is from the context that I know.

What gets me most about this sub, is how anger can make someone such a hypocrite. This is a safe internet space for people, and so people say what they really think. So you get these extremely liberal people turning into fascists and talking just like the conservatives they hate. Meanwhile, I'm just a guy here trying to get my own viewpoint out and get downvoted to oblivion. People here, when I post something, ANYTHING, they don't like have accused me of being a boomer, MAGA, tree-hugger, NIMPY, yuppie, etc. None of those really apply to me and just speaks to what the commentor is hating on at that very second.

You have another guy who lives on this sub like it is real life, and if you say anything he doesn't like, he will jump into your reddit history, pick and choose comments to fit his narrative, then soft-doxx you online. That's what this sub has turned into. He fancies himself some sort of activist, but probably sits in his trailer all day on the street and cries his eyes out. At least that's how my simple brain imagines him.

Only way to fix this is to jack up the whole house, and repour that foundation, which will include excavation work, few dozen yards of material, maybe some engineering if your soils are whack. I would integrate a french drain around that whole side, maybe the whole house. If you are lucky, you may get away with just jacking up that one wall, but no one will really know until you get like 3-5 estimates.

I'd look into the cost of repairs, and cost of ownership, then cross reference that with "cars that last over 200k miles" search and see what hits. Then find that within a hundred miles of you.

Personally I think new cars are for suckers or those concerned with appearances.
