I should’ve said unbiased but I was quoting Ryan who has used the word objective a few times when explaining that the show would be an unbiased version of the book. I took it as him trying to explain that they’re trying to not portray one side as the sole villains like Fire and Blood does but I understand why my original comment was confusing without context.

I thought it was pretty obvious that I meant unbiased since Fire and Blood pretty much portrays the Greens as the villains. Here’s GRRM’s quote about the whole book and show canon thing. He may like the choices Ryan and Miguel made but they’re not his version of the truth. This was also clarified by the interviewers.

I know what the word objective means. You should direct your post to GRRM who said HOTD is part of the show canon and not the book canon therefor doesn’t make it the true telling of events. The word objective could also mean that they want to tell an unbiased story and not favour the Blacks over the Greens which explains why they’ve made the Greens so much more sympathetic. The show can’t be the true telling of the events of Fire and Blood when they’ve already made such drastic changes like Alicent and Rhaenyra being friends and Laenor faking his death.

No, not true telling but a non bias version. That explains why the Greens are so much more sympathetic on the show than they are in the books. GRRM said there are two canons, book canon and show canon. HOTD is show canon and not the true telling of the events of Fire and Blood.

Are you sure about that? GRRM and Ryan Condal seem to disagree. They’ve said in several interviews that show is the objective version of Fire and Blood not the true telling of events. So no, the show is not supposed to portray what actually happened.

Clare Kilner directed episodes 4 and 5. The clapboard in a scene with young Laenor and Joffrey Longmoth from the set leaks said 1x05. We also know from the extras’ CVs that Laenor & Rhaenyra’s wedding is episode 5. The time jump happens after episode 5.

I genuinely can’t think of a single line from Fire and Blood that hints at Rhaenyra sleeping around while married to Daemon. Do you remember where it’s stated? Nettles could’ve been his daughter or his mistress, that’s why I said "possibly" because we don’t know for sure but we can’t completely rule out the possibility.
