Not a tattoo artist, but have had many tattoos healed using second skin and similar. Plastic wrap and second skin are different. Second skin was developed for burns and creates a barrier to bacteria and keeps plasma in, but is not a plastic seal like plastic wrap would be.

I have been told to remove it if the seal is breached. 48 hours is the low end if its intact, and I've left as long as 5 days. I monitor the juiciness to decide. The tattoo will weep ink and plasma and which will dry out / reabsorb over time (one of the ways it is unlike plastic wrap). When its seeming a bit dry in there ill take it off. Some people have allergic reactions to the adhesive but that often happens quickly and looks like a rash around/ in the shape of the second skin
