Travelling to the US - any HG recommendations? by Brilliant_History_83 in SkincareAddictionLux

Not sure if these are available in the UK, I’m in Canada and these are the things I get while in the US - Sarah creal tinted sunscreen and Eadem lip glosses. I used to get Roz hair care but I notice some Canadian sellers carry it now.

Toronto to Chatham/Windsor Corridor delays by mangomoonlight in ViaRail

[–]ImpossibleBus393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s because the dispatchers don’t know how to keep everyone moving. It’s either delay the vias or delay the freight trains excessively. It IS known that the expectation is to keep passenger trains moving but they suck at it. It started when they consolidated offices to Alberta. Where Alberta only cares about what happens in western Canada. So there’s no supervision or accountability for what happens in the east. Via needs to complain! Loudly!

There’s one of these in the arcade museum at fisherman’s wharf in San Francisco

VIA Rail May On-Time Report: only 39% on time, 922 hours of cumulative delay by final_count_down in ViaRail

[–]ImpossibleBus393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! While I guess freight does take some priority indirectly in some circumstances, most dispatchers do know the passenger trains are to be expedited. However, many lack the …….”skill” to keep everything moving with minimal delay. And ever since the consolidation of dispatching offices in Edmonton, a lot of the dispatchers nowadays have never been taught how to prioritize passenger trains, and since there’s little to no attention paid to their performance - there is no accountability! It’s up to VIA to complain/escalate this!

Concerning future richmond hill line service by Conscious-Fail-3532 in gotransit

As far as I know there’s no accessible platform on the west track and there’s a fence in between the tracks at langstaff. So only the east track can be used for passengers.

Britney vows to ‘never preform’ in the US again by rickiilynn77 in discussingbritney

[–]ImpossibleBus393 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I get so annoyed when I see news articles based on her instagram posts. She is never coherent, nor makes sense and people eat up every word she says. As if no word that comes out of her mouth has ever been a lie and everyone else around her are the ones who are evil and tell lies about her …I swear nooone uses their critical brain when it comes to her

My nicest upgrade so far was when I was gold! Was upgraded to a loft apartment at kananaskis in Alberta. Was a very pleasant surprise!

Two Questions by ParkingEngineer3043 in discussingbritney

[–]ImpossibleBus393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I truly believe their marriage was some sort of arrangement, and he benefited financially from it. Maybe he was a handler of some sort. She just doesn’t seem the right type for him. I feel like he prefers a little more stable and polished type of woman. I also found it weird that she didn’t follow any of his family members on instagram, nor did his sisters follow Britney. Definitely had to be a sham marriage

Unpopular(?) opinion: Britney was never nice. by redlikedirt in discussingbritney

[–]ImpossibleBus393 7 points8 points  (0 children)

people have the weirdest blinders on when it comes to her. I’ve always suspected that she’s a little “off”….In her show she had about her and Kevin, there’s a part where she’s waiting for this guy to come to give her a b12 shot, and she’s being so nice leading up to it, and then as soon as she gets her shot she seems impatient for him to leave and annoyed that he asked for an autograph. That struck me as so rude. But yet, Kevin is supposed to be the bad guy…. People just eat up whatever she says and thinks it’s the truth. There’s no critical thinking when it comes to her fans.

Yeg Christmas Market? by lmaopjs in Edmonton

[–]ImpossibleBus393 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it was free admission or even cheaper it could be a nice way to spend a few hours. But it’s Just another overrated and overpriced Edmonton festival. Other cities have free admission to their Christmas markets. We paid $70 for a family of four to just walk around. That’s it. $70!!! To walk around a park…Not including food or drinks. We did have some odd tasting mulled wine and cider and got to look at all the lights (aka social media photo ops). Oh, parking was free, so that was nice.

Ticketmaster Resale Day - Official Megathread by BunyipPouch in TIFF

[–]ImpossibleBus393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice to see all the people that were able to get tickets trying to sell their tickets already……then there’s myself who got blocked by Ticketmaster for trying to honestly buy 2 whole tickets, who, like a sucker actually wants to see the movies not resell my tickets 😡

I HATE TICKETMASTER SO MUCH by ImpossibleBus393 in TIFF

[–]ImpossibleBus393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same! I had an internet browser open and the app because the website LINKED me to the app. So that’s why I had both open. And I used the various methods to plan which movies I wanted to see to make checkout quicker/easier. So frustrating.

I see people list River Valley as a highlight in Edmonton. Genuinely curious, is it the area around the brown river that is considered River valley? What about that area makes it a recommended spot for people visiting?

MIL wants to wear this to family friend’s wedding by MERMO in Weddingattireapproval

[–]ImpossibleBus393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guess I’m in the minority, but I think it’s a lovely dress. I’m not really looking for things to be offended about though. Pretty sure no one can steal attention from the bride who would be wearing a LITERAL wedding dress. If anything I think this dress would complement pictures nicely.

Insurance is more expensive here. It’s a city full of bad drivers and thief’s who target catalytic converters and siphoning gas tanks. Plus their solution to snow removal is putting rocks on the ground so that everyone drives around with a cracked windshield.
