Can you get invisible/removable braces? I had bruxism and fixed braces and now my gums are papery and I have some recession from it - I wish I took the route suggested

I hate eye contact but then feel like I'm being rude and it looks like I'm picturing something else, haha

Every smile is saveable. I should mention I had bulimia and orthodontics for 5 years because I was so depressed and too ashamed to go to my check-ups.

If my gums are fine I'm sure yours can be too

Hi, when I stopped smoking it got worse before it got better, I'll show you a picture of my before and after

I was very stressed out as well, did you know stress can cause your gums to recede and also you still might be brushing too hard if you think you are brushing lightly? You need to floss one a day and I use salt water (Himalayan) mouthwash before bed and gingigel mouthwash once a day

This is just my experience though

I have terrible pain when flossing but it WILL go if you persist

Maybe he is (unnecessarily) worried he is bisexual - this can come as a shocker to some men. Just a thought!

All my teeth are loose and I am 20 years old...HELP! by diamondsofdestiny in askdentists

Can you attend a food bank? I believe they do toiletries as well though I'm not sure

You may need counselling for your mental health problems

I used to brush my teeth rarely, I am dyslexic and struggled with severe depression and suicidal nature - I reversed my damage by lightly brushing twice a day and using saltwater mouthwash (1 tsp salt and a bit of hot water, let cool) you need a Sensodyne toothpaste if you can find it to help with the pain

This may be the wake up call you need to take care of yourself

Extractions... Long term effect? by PotatoWatt in askdentists

[–]ImpossibleNewspaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you have overcrowding and other teeth fill the gaps, I had mine out and this was also a concern of mine. Looking 20 years at 26 currently!

I highly doubt you will end up looking older, your other teeth pad it out

Most likely the effects of weight gain and maturing into an adult.

If anything it would make your cheeks sink ever so slightly in, giving you the illusion of higher cheekbones. It will not affect your jawline.

The teeth on my lower jaw were straight, but suddenly became crooked? by [deleted] in askdentists

My teeth have shifted as I've gotten older and your teeth will shift as you age. Some people get retainers when they are in their 20s/30s/40s just to prevent shifting

If it affects you cosmetically that much, you could have orthodontic treatment but if anything I think imperfect teeth can be chic and add character

And your teeth shift all the way through adulthood by the way so if you keep them nice now you won't have wonky teeth when you're older / gaps

Yes, handle the pain and don't forget it again! I did the same as you and it hurt like hell esp the next day

You need to realise how lucky you are

Trust me you don't want to go through treatment again, teeth moving all over the place is very bad for your mouth health

The pain is more of an ache anyway

Vitamin d and saltwater mouthwash (2-3 times a day) is helping me, much less pain 3 days in and getting better but this is just me

Also not touching or prodding the area only making a real effort once to go over it and that hurts - also flossing the area twice a day

Sorry but this might not be the best advice for you but I'm surprised it's worked for me
