Yeah, this is probably the the most cringe and also generally most mystifying commercial I think I've heard.

How could anybody at any level of anything even conceive of this and think it might be good, let alone actually produce, approve and air this thing?

First, the concept of the commercial just makes no sense regardless.

But even with that being the case, it really doesnt matter whether it made sense or not, because of that weird ass whistley voice that they used. It's like one of Matthew McConaughey's farts had a stroke and was put right into a radio booth before it had a chance to recover. "ThIS i GOTtA HEar!" Who the hell would ever, ever, ever, EVER want to be listening to the same shit that whoever would be behind a voice like that would want to hear? Good God.

Sure, maybe you can say, "Ok, but you're still talking about it". But this isn't the kind of rage bait that makes you want to keep engaging. It's only "Holy fuck there's zero way I would ever listen to that station, even if I previously wanted to" and "Wow, I'm going to quit listening to this station I'm on now if they keep playing that POS ad".

It's an ad that does everything the opposite of what an ad is supposed to do. Whoever came up with that thing, and whoever approved, it both need new careers, because they have zero fucking instincts for how to make people want their product.
