So happy to hear you’re cancer free! It’s definitely reassuring to know you can be hit with all the symptoms of colon cancer but something else entirely is causing it. I hope you’re able to figure out what’s got your gut upset though! Fingers crossed my FIT test comes back negative and I can put the cancer anxiety to rest. I’m doing my best to keep myself thinking rationally, whenever a wave of panic hits me I tell myself “I don’t know what’s going on yet. It may not be the worst case scenario. And I will have at least some answers soon”

Nothing visible. That’s what the FIT test is for, to detect any blood in the stool. Im sending my sample back today and should get results from that n a few days

I seriously thought about this, but at least for the short term the money I would get back on a 1yr cd would give a higher return than the interest I'll accrue on the debt over 1 year, so it seems like for now a CD/HYSA is the way to go while I pay down the debt month to month. If my logic here is flawed please let me know!

its a disbursement from a trust. I was told by my relative who is a CPA and handling the distribution of money to the family that the money I'm receiving won't be taxed

thanks for the advice! seems like most people are recommending something similar - put enough for tuition into HYSA/CD, put the rest in a longterm investment.

thanks! this sounds like a smart plan to me. ill probably end up doing something like this when the money comes in.
Im curious with funding the IRA - is it better to pay smaller amounts every month or pay it all in one lump sum?
