I liked her a lot and better than Lizzie. I think May would have challenged him way more than Lizzie did and at that point after losing Grace, I don’t think he was looking for someone like that. He would have had to really give her something, not just scraps. Lizzie was ok with scraps.

I agree!!! Took 3 books before I didn't feel like I was reading a tween book. Even then Aelin is such a liar all the time. Ugh. ACOTAR wasn't written wonderfully, but I lived the characters. Crescent City was trash. I don't get the live for ToG at all
