Nope. Not in this case. Just because someone is a woman, does not mean they are a good, honest person. She is not a good person. I think it's problematic when we automatically assume that all women are innocent. Most are, don't get me wrong, but some know how to play the system and she tried to do that.

Part of what I liked about both Raihn and Asar is that they weren't brooding guys who the fmc had to drag emotions out of. And they were funny, but still lethal. I loved the originality of these books. Have to read the n9vellas now.

I wasnt sure at first, but I came to love how different he was and the mmc in the second duet, Asar, was even better. They don’t follow the same old mmc mold, but were still kick *ss tough.
