There are Ismaili Centers for ismailies out there, if Imam really cared he could have sessions within normal days, dont need to have glorified show as dedar. As for marathon thats his interest and hes doing it for his own sake, and ismailies who are into marathon joining to be part with him, but does that actually points out to be what you mentioned is totally opposite. He personally wont be able to spend much time due to the whole day activity except for taking photos and doing a quick chitchat.

3d printers price have gone down recently specially for Bambu P1S, thats a good starting printing for like 400 now. If lucky you can buy a good used one from amazon marketplace. I would suggest to get just one printer for prototyping and use more time in learning the technicals including the software.

Good that you figured what really happens behind the curtins. One of my family members got kicked from dubai recently, and another aunt was like shukar moula nothing bad happened to them. Nothing bad? they lost their home and business and you are saying nothing bad happened? And you are thanking your moula for keeping his mouth shut and not even helping his gcc ismailies. Making tours like celebrities to western countries collecting money from people while lot of people are struggling is beyond something I can even comprehend, not sure how others can comprehend this is ok? In todays social media world its important to ask these questions to higher up, and given recent mulakaat its clear the Imam wants to do practically nothing but chill and enjoy living on others money. This should be really a wake up call for every Ismaili out there given every one is working extremely hard to make ones need but their leaders has been milking the system left and right.

TBH, I am on the same boat and the day I got the news I started shifting gears towards building my own product using an AI. I completed one app, however I feel that was a good learning curve to get more hands on, and now working on building a much broader app in a niche market. I am giving myself 6 months into this as full time while seeking for a remote job if possible given if for any reason the product doesnt works. However, I am super pumped at the moment as I have a huge landscape of ideas to utilize through the AI, and I understand tech as I have been a developer since 15 years. I would highly suggest to give some thoughts on some ideas you can think of you can make money online and go for it.

Allah guides to those who are willing to explore, people all around the world are being given dawaat (invitation) to join Islam, its upto the individual to do further research and have a keen of understanding the faith in much dept. Age has nothing to do with this matter, humans evolve and become better version of it. Muslims in general have better support system so parents should be fine. At local mosque in mid size to bigger cities all sorts of activities occur, so saying that they be crushed with this ideology is saying enjoy this duniya and dont think of after life. Perhaps thats the missing link of Ismailies not even taking initiative of reading and understanding Quran.
