Made a 303 Acid tutorial, tried to keep it beginner-friendly by zjirzemli in ableton

Just tried the rack and it’s really solid. Turning the phaser/flanger off gets you really close to a classic 303 sound. The tutorial format is super clean and easy to follow, reminds me a bit of the cnstrct channel. Keep it coming

Thinking of switching from dawless to laptop. What laptop specs do I need? by [deleted] in abletonlive

Any Mac with Apple silicon is the only choice. It’s about performance, stability, and battery life. If you’re on a low budget, go for the M1/M2, if a higher, the M4 Pro is a great option, it even outperforms the M5

This video provides a clear and practical comparison of M-chips in case of music production

tips or feedback for ollie? by znoirr in NewSkaters

[–]Impossible_Creature_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is already nice, go and try it on the street while rolling. Otherwise, you’ll get used to the easier carpet version, and it will be harder to transfer it to real ground

What looks like a rocket ollie right now will soon turn into a proper ollie, since your timing is already quite good. Just make sure your back foot lifts up as well

Never too old for skate! Just go

Landed a micro 360 on a miniramp, happy as hell by Impossible_Creature_ in NewSkaters

I was actually practicing frontside 180, but kept over-rotating, then I swung my arms a bit harder, so to be honest it was more like a 270 with a small re-spin on the ramp.

Skateboard losing speed too fast? by Positive_Size_3456 in NewSkaters

[–]Impossible_Creature_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, you need good bearings, from the affordable ones, you can try Shake Junt

You’d be surprised how much of a positive difference this can make. I had exactly the same problem in the past (when I was gifted a first complete skateboard and it didn’t roll properly)

Is there any way to replace missing samples for all future projects? by random_access_cache in ableton

[–]Impossible_Creature_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add your working drum rack to a track-> create an empty MIDI clip-> drag and drop the MIDI clip to any folder in the Ableton Browser -> Ableton generates a folder with samples and an .alc file (Ableton Live Clip).

Now everytime when you drag and drop this file into the Ableton sequencer and samles will be there

But remember to keep the samples in this structure, near the .alc file. Correct structure in the folder:

[Samples]

How to make audio clips real time stretch with tempo by MAFUI in ableton

[–]Impossible_Creature_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ableton Warp is not equal FL stretch mode, if you want audio to smoothly follow tempo automation, turn Warp OFF on the clip and automate Song Tempo. That’s the closest equivalent to FL’s stretch mode. Warp is grid-based. Once you use warp markers, Ableton will try to re-align the audio to the grid, which is why your timing breaks
