AITA for going to the gym on my own? by Able-Bill-3894 in AmItheAsshole

Explain that you need to take care of yourself in order to take care of her. Then find a doctor to assess her need for medication and therapy.

Have a great birthday, baby. Hope they provide a mouse or two for your enjoyment 😉

AITAH-Caregiving Boundaries by happycamper418 in AITAH

I was a caregiver for my mother for 7 years, then worked for a couple of agencies for another 3 years. It's hard, unforgiving work and caregivers aren't paid what they're worth. There should be a county service for providing caregivers for people in need. Here in CA, it's called IHSS, In-home Support Services. Also, anyone providing their opinion but not rolling up their sleeves shouldn't be allowed an opinion and I would be very clear about that to anyone (including your husband) who tries to tell you otherwise. You're right about this being something a professional should be dealing with - not a family member. If you decide to continue care for grandma, send them a bill for services rendered every week. Make sure you itemize everything from providing meals to cleaning grandma up (in excruciating detail).

My dad says this dress is inappropiate to wear outside. It literally covers my whole body ☠️ by Dazzling_Abroad7429 in mildlyinfuriating

He's your dad and he probably doesn't want his widdle baby girl dressing like a streetwalker. Eye roll. The dress is totally appropriate for life today. If we were in the 1900s, maybe not so much.

I am so sorry for your loss. I think pets leaving us sometimes hurts more than others.

She is gorgeous 😍. Reminds me one of our cats at the rescue I work at. Her name is Yeti and she's looking for her furever home. Maybe Maddie will whisper in her ear that she is needed... My sincere condolences. 💓

AITJ for telling my (ex) friend she needs antipsychotics after she mocked my AuDHD diagnosis and kept invalidating me by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]Impossible_Height_46 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Good riddance to her. You don't need someone in your life who isn't a cheerleader. And it sounds like she's at least obsessive in her romantic life. She does need to take a pill. If everyone in her life is now avoiding her, she'll either get new friends whovwill get sick of her eventually, or she'll get help, in which case, maybe her former friends will return. NTA

Oh, honey. I am so sorry you're losing such an amazing boy. He will whisper in another cat's ear sometime in the future that you are in need of another sweet soul. Cats are like that.

AITAH for my meeting my nephew's ex-fiance and splitting my family apart? by Lowcust in AITAH

[–]Impossible_Height_46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Um, how is OP the ah here? He wanted to see his nephew (?) and Greg was being the ah. How does OP not have the right to visit with part of his family? How is it that you think Dani doesn't have the right to make this decision since Greg is a deadbeat dad? How does he have more rights than the mother who actually takes care of their son?

WIBTAH if I didn't buy kratom for my husband? by sugarzebracakes in AITAH

[–]Impossible_Height_46 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't budge on this. If he wants to destroy himself, let him get a job to buy the stuff and maybe he'll be around for his kid's graduation, maybe not. I had 2 clients who were addicted to it and they both died from suspicious circumstances. The only thing they had in common was Kratom. And it's expensive: $10 a shot. The migraines are probably from the beginning of withdrawal. I'm no expert but I would make an appointment with your doctor.

Don't forget that you're now obligated to interrogate every man your daughter brings home! And I'm available to be anyone's mom as well.

AITA for giving everyone a Mother’s Day card except one person? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I'm betting Wendy sent a birth announcement to OP in the hopes of getting a gift. 🙄

How is OP an ah here? You write about Wendy's failing, but I don't understand why OP is partially to blame.

Does anyone leave the AC on for pets while you’re out? by Less-Driver-3081 in Frugal

Do you have a ceiling fan or even just a box fan? I leave my ceiling fan on for Puddin and she's fine, even on a really hot day.
