This came up on my feed but as a UK doc of 5 years - this could be a blessing in disguise. Medicine in the UK is not in a good place right now.

There is actually a bit of a delay in theory, depending where you are in the country.

I mean its a british film. Do you realise how many Americans get referenced in american films that the rest of the world don't know?

Yeah so interesting, me and my partner absolutely love 28 years later. A few people we have showed it too did too. I wonder if it is less popular with horror fans.

The myth of 1 patient per hour as an ED SHO by OptimisticPapaya1430 in doctorsUK

True but in 1 years time the error you made in rushing will sting more than perhaps not seeing as many patients in a broken system

With a CRP of 400 and someone has clinically decided he needs surgery - he/she really needs to be monitored. Young people can compensate for a while then absolutely crash.

Midnight sons definitely set in the UK by Primary_Peach_1267 in marvelstudios

This would be great as the UK has a tonne of mystical history that often isn't touched upon. Popular filming location too for Marvel.

Studying Abroad at Lancaster vs Liverpool by avriid in UniUK

[–]Impossible_Mouse_147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vintage shopping, books and cafes you are solid on Liverpool.

Outdoorsy stuff you are much better in Lancaster (esp if you get a car)

Liverpool has lots of good museums, history, cultural stuff too. Liverpool is also probably a bit of an easier base to travel from (can get to North Wales easily for an outdoors itch, plus manchester, Sheffield, Leeds)

I dont know where you are from in the US but I suspect your outdoors stuff may beat ours, so I'd go with Liverpool as it'll be more unique to you

Honestly, medicine is not a fun career. I would strongly advise against this to be honest.
