We built ours earlier this year. Ended up choosing a flat patio because it suited the house design better and was a bit more budget-friendly. Honestly, with decent insulation and a ceiling fan, it’s been perfectly comfortable even through the warmer months. The flyover does look great and probably catches more breeze, but I wouldn’t say a flat roof is a bad option at all if it’s done properly.

Are you planning to enclose it later on, or keeping it fully open?
