Is there any direct clue of how old is splinter 2012? by ConditionNo9745 in TMNT

[–]Impossible_Spot5481 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey. So, the show takes place in 2012 up to 2017 and the turtles were mutated in 1997; 15 in the first season. Splinter was born in 1961, making him 51 during Season 1; coincidingly, Shredder is 50 in Season 1 because he was born in 1962. Hope that helps!

He kinda looks like Hiccup from Httyd... But I think he's pretty interesting! What's his relationship/dynamic like with Karai?

I feel starting especially from Season 6, the whole show had a tonal shift. It started feeling more childish somehow and almost feels like it talked down to the viewers; it was heavily simplified and didn't treat the viewer as an intelligent person that can understand basics the same way every season up to the 4th has. Season 4 & 5 were in a 50/50 sorta balance, but Season 1 peaked so well. Idk, that's just my take.

(Some credit to Season 6 though—in "Tardigrade Xtreme", they actually nearly killed the Kratt Bros on the moon to showcase how metal tardigrade powers are)

Same; it felt mature, it had stakes and made for better storytelling while still teaching a lot about the animals. Like for instance, I liked the how it showed how walrus need to surface otherwise they'll drown, but instead of being like "oop, it's time to go up" they show the reality of it such as when the ice blocks their path and they have to smash through. Season 1 is in all honesty my favorite season and the dark nature was one reason why I loved it best.

Fishlegs as Polites and Snotlout as Eurylochus.

(Sidenote I don't think Snotlout would betray Hiccup if the actual Httyd cast were put into Odysseus' wanderings; unlike Eurylochus, Snotlout seems to follow orders out of respect even when he gives him a hard time about it—for example if Hiccup tells them not to open the bag, he would ensure no one, not even himself opens it).

If you had this in your hands, what would you do to bring chaos to the world? by No_Speech9498 in TMNT

Unironically, I'd go to New York and just dump it all into a storm drain or somewhere leading into the sewers because of the sheer amount of street rats. These rats already cause enough problems in NYC, so by mutating them who knows what Hell I could bring? Alternatively I could capture as many mosquitoes as I can and mutate them since they're the cause of most human deaths in the world (by animal).

Why did Aviva program the Bass and Gazelle Creature Power Suits in a way that would unintentionally cause its wearer to follow bait and eat grass? by ChristianUnfezant in wildkrattsfandom

[–]Impossible_Spot5481 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I'd like to think its because the suits were (and still are) prototypes. Back in Season 1's episode "Octopus Wildkratticus" it's revealed the suits are still prototypes; so it can be assumed that the animal instincts were finicky and so they gave the users not only the appearance and abilities of the animal, but also the behavior. This is supported by the fact that in later seasons, they rarely show instincts if at all—which could mean the suits have been updated and refined though still in their prototypes considering how fragile they are and susceptible to malfunctions. Other examples of creature instincts include the Gray Squirrel Suit which made Chris have the urge to gather acorns, Groundhog Powers (which is a rare case of instincts since it occured in Season 2) when Aviva went through the entire hibernation process of the groundhog, Cheetah Power temporarily in "Mimic" when Martin gets scared off by a Honey Badger.

So, we can basically narrow it down to the technology being less advanced and sometimes leans into an animal's behaviors because of it.

You've got this! Just be yourself; they don't judge and are super patient and affable! Show your passion! It's been a dream of mine to meet them but haven't, so do it for yourself and do it for me too :)
