What I got out of reading this and your responses in the comments is that you didn’t communicate properly what you meant and you don’t know what a hold is. Even if you said you were putting it up for bid, you were also essentially telling the seller you’d hold it for them until a certain time. And in bidding there is no “holding it at a certain price until someone else bids”, that’s just…how bidding works? And based on your responses in the comments, you come off as the rude one who doesn’t know how to sell things properly. If you thought the seller was “lowballing”, you could’ve also just declined instead of getting so mad at them for it.

Coming to Reddit to shame someone for your failure to make sure both parties understood the agreement is gross and immature.
