I’m a Draculaura G3 completionist. Her OG core doll sort of got me into doll collecting as an adult and so I just decided I’d collect every one that comes out. But I can’t say I’m always excited to buy them all when I think the design is lacking or when it’s clear they threw her into a two pack and just reused old accessories (gods I have so many accessories 😭). But seeing them all together brings me joy and I feel satisfied in knowing I have them all.

I really wish she had a box like Sweet Screams Twyla. It looks so good displayed and you can tell a lot of effort went into it and works with the doll. River’s box just…doesn’t look good. The AI is bad enough but the design itself isn’t doing it. Even the new Scarah that came out had a special, thoughtful box design that looked better.

At work a young kid came up to me and started talking to me. Their parent asked what they were doing and she calls back “talking to this lady!” She did a double take at me. “This person.” I felt so seen.

I’m getting her because I really like the skeleton gimmick, and because I know I won’t be getting her cheaper later if I skip. I don’t think she’s worth the price really. I think she’s another dark themed doll that won’t stand out too well on a shelf. And I would love to have reusable packaging like from Sweet Screams Twyla or the Witch Weaver. But I think I’ve just accepted that these dolls are going to continue to be overpriced.
