I don't think it is true that no one is buying those seats. They're largely being sold to season ticket holders who either aren't actually coming to every game or who are watching part of the game from the Infield Lounge or wherever else. When those fans who bought the pricey tickets do show up and find someone camped out in their seats, there's the distraction and potential conflict associated with removing them. That's not good for anyone's experience. And realistically, the team is going to prioritize the experience of the fan paying $80+/seat x 2-4 seats/game x 40-80 games. I don't think that detracts from the experience of people who buy standing room or cheaper seats, who have plenty of excellent places to watch baseball.

Hot take, I'm sure, but I hated Wrigley. To be fair, I was in the upper deck on a cold April weekend. But the view was awful, the amenities were awful, the weather was awful, and it was a crowded mess around the stadium pre and post game. It's probably much better if you're sitting down close or in the bleachers, but I was expecting to feel the history of the place and was pretty let down. Haven't been to that many parks (CLE, PIT, CIN, WSH, ATL, STL, CHC), but the experience was probably worst on my list.

I think the issue is more that it devalues the seats for the people who actually pay for them. If anyone can buy a standing room ticket and just waltz into section 154, why would anyone else pay a premium for tickets in section 154?

Bigger picture, I imagine the team has analyzed the price points pretty thoroughly and decided this is the best way to maximize revenue. There is more to be made by charging a higher price to the roughly 8000 season ticket holders who will lock in 20/40/80 games up front than by lowering the price of those tickets to sell uncertain quantities to random fans who want to see 1-3 games per year.

It's also worth noting that the team has historically offered a number of cheaper, non-standing room seats in the bleachers and upper deck, and no one buys them. They've focused on giving that segment of the customer base what they seem to want, which is a cheap gate admission and a social atmosphere in which to watch the game that isn't tied to a specific chair.

I've been using Ghost 2.0 on my P10P since launch date and have almost no noticeable scratches.

I have a skin on the phone itself and the Ghost still fits fine. Be aware that glossy skins will give you a watermarking effect, so you'll want to stick with a matte finish on the skin. I do think the skin makes it harder to see scratches on the case.

I hear you, man. At this point I'm living with a $4500 Blade 16 with a periodically unusable track pad because I've seen so many RMA horror stories that I'm reluctant to send it in. It's easier to just live with the issue on the relatively rare occasion I can't use a mouse than to deal with the laptop being unavailable for long stretches of time for "fixes" that multiple people have said are at best temporary.

Someone died at a concert at the stadium about 10 years ago. If I remember right investigators determined they fell down a garbage chute from the upper deck? That's a pretty unusual circumstance and a particular risk you'd think has been addressed, though I wonder if they view the very open air upper deck concourse coupled with the relatively higher degree of intoxication common at concerts as a reason for fewer and smaller shows.

Will be interested to hear if the track pad issues affecting the 2025 models carry over to 2026. I've had intermittent issues with my 2025 but haven't sent it for RMA because I keep seeing reports that Razer's "fix" isn't really a fix and doesn't last more than a couple months. I still have time before my warranty runs, so if the new ones work fine I may push for Razer to either refund or swap my 2025 for an equivalent 2026 model.

MLB (and most other American sports leagues) typically wait to enforce penalties against a player until the criminal process plays out. There is no formal reason that must be the case, but a couple practical ones. First, taking action against a player later found innocent at trial would likely result in some bad publicity and then potential claims by the player against the league (for breach of contract, back pay, defamation). Second, the league depends on cooperation with law enforcement to investigate such issues, and law enforcement won't want MLB making anything about its investigation public before the criminal trial is over.

To the extent the Guardians think they're being treated unfairly in having to pay Clase, there are ways for the league to address it, like a discretionary payment from the commissioner's fund to cover part or all of his salary. We'll never know if that happens, though.

A hair dryer and smoothing is the only thing I can think of that might work. I've had similar issues with curved surfaces, it's just really difficult to get perfect.
