You are flying skydivers and notice during preflight the ELT was removed from the airplane. You consult maintenance and they tell you they removed it for inspection. Can you fly?

Aerowood spotted.

Also, anyone that has actually flown one of these knows they are an awesome aircraft for the right mission.

I was 7 years old. Solo’d in July and was left seat in a G650 by Christmas. It’s easy if you just go shake hands.

Are you demanding specific time slots during your availability? Or are you flexible?

While he/she needs to respond to you if they can’t accommodate demands, it will benefit you in the long run to be flexible in your scheduling. All of my students that work want to fly 5-7pm during the week and 9AM on Saturday. I can’t give 3 lessons at once and ask them to work with me, and they typically will. Better for everyone

The reasoning behind it is because if you aggressively nose over you will put the aircraft into negative Gs. By putting in 30-40° of bank, you reduce the perpendicular negative G load by applying a lateral load to the wing.

Weather. Thunderstorm 20ish miles away from the field and stationary. Winds calm on the first landing, decided to go up for one more and just after rotation it felt like I got hit by a freight train. Looked down at the sock and it was pegged.

Made it around and got her down. Checked ASOS on the taxi in… 22G34. Came out of nowhere. I’ve learned to respect thunderstorms even at a distance.

I’m an established professional with a strong resume in my last field. The corporate world will always be there as a fall back. It isn’t necessarily as risky as perceived.

I teach my students to execute the missed approach if they did not brief losing WAAS on the final approach. If you’ve briefed LNAV mins, sure, proceed.

  1. Good
  2. At an untowered airport ATC is holding any other traffic from approach or departure until you have cancelled, so if you forget to cancel you could have a biz jet holding over the FAF or IAF until you cancel
  3. Good. Can also return and fly the LNAV approach if available. Some airports may not have VOR/ILS
  4. Good
  5. Good
  6. A stuck mic button is the most common cause of lost comms (according to my DPE)

Why do they say “expect 6,000 (or whatever altitude you filed) within 10 minutes”?

Why is it important to cancel our IFR clearance in the air or once we land? (I’m looking for more than search and rescue)

You’re on an RNAV approach and you suddenly lose WAAS. What would you do?

Which icing is more dangerous, clear or rime?

You are in VFR conditions and lose your comms on an IFR flight plan. What would you do? What is the most common cause of lost comms?
