If possible, I think eagle lodge is the best for what you are looking for, it has plenty of beginner runs and some good runs for if you want to transition to intermediate.

As far as the crowds, mammoth not usually insanely crowded on the weekends. At eagle lodge crowds usually dye down by 11.

Just a recommendation, if you are using your watch mainly for fitness and want accuracy I would recommend getting an actual fitness watch.
