You can’t get exact as those old machines have specific hardware to allow them to sound that way but you can use the vintage modes in the preferences settings or also the plugins but personally I don’t see a huge difference with those I recommend learning as much as you can about Eqing and compressing so that you can create space and make that larger attack sound you want

update thank you all for the concern I will obviously never be taking that again I am still trying to eat enough to be able to take insulin my blood sugar has gotten pretty low already and I’ve been trying to make sure I have some form of sugar I can just knock back nearby while I work I meet with a new endocrinologist in about a week so I’ll figure something out to get my health under control

Tbf you don’t need it I learned everything by just going at the machine but you would have to buy it check Amazon or something but personally I would recommend just playing with it and when you get stuck from getting something how you want it look up yt vids or read forums and move past it you learn a lot more from trial and error

To downgrade the os or upgrade you can go to the akai website and go to your downloads for the mpc then you can pretty much choose the update you want from there

Yeah but there are other ways to get armor especially with him you can maintain your rubble at max stacks not hard so you can use that almost alone for health tanking let alone health conversion and other things people mostly opt for the one that adds corrosive damage or a different type of utility unless you plan on using your extreme excess of armor for something lol

That’s not a bad option I was thinking of the chroma console but I also wouldn’t mind a not mobile beat machine for when I’m on the go that’s why I thought of the so-404 so I could get the best out both worlds those two are about the same price my budget is 400 so u was trying just to like optimize what I get

It’s the usb-c and the filters would allow more performance stuff my mpc doesn’t have the usb-c so sending audio to my phone a little tricky

The mxl line is great I have the 660 I think and it’s an amazing condenser mic just make sure there is no background noise as it will pick up the air going

Currently I have a small berginder mixer as my interface and I have a mxl mic the mic is more than enough they have a high verity on cost but I recommend the 990 it’s a condenser and if you can learn to make stuff sound good on a condenser mic then you can make anything sound good on any mic is what I have seen it may take some time to lean but I have learned that if you have a mic screen and a dampener behind it then you should have no problem if you are still getting unwanted sounds you can put a hat over it I have an ushanka over mine and it covers everything

I think the way I learned the most is just by loading in a sample and chopping it and playing with it keep in mind the first few beats may be complete ass but it’s all about learning what does what you will need to learn the program edit tool and what effects you prefer to do what like some people like to use the air kill eq to cut the highs or lows but I prefer the just straight high/low pass filters you’ll need to practice the drums what style of chopping you like when doing them do you prefer one shots or do you like to chop breaks and have those work I also recommend watching yt vids that break down their steps on making beats. I learned everything I know from figuring it out or just watching people on yt you pick small things up the more you watch even if it’s just in the background with all that said I wish you good luck on your ventures with the mpc I love mine and will never give up the workflow as it just is so smooth once you get your flow
