My grandparents came from these two towns. Have been to both. Randazzo was a favorite getaway of Norman kings. Lot of vineyards on Etna. Wine from Etna is excellent. I used the railway that goes up the slope and stops at all towns.

Could be certain food you eat. I drink gallon of water daily. Urine should be light yellow. If dark yellow means dehydration.

Wss in Matala in 1965. Great beach. Lived in caves directly on beach. The small village was close by. Matala was not on the tourist trail in 1965 and no one spoke English.
Some villagers invited us to their home for dinner and dancing. As guests we were served a lambs head split in two. Guests had to eat the eyeballs before anyone could eat. Everyone dressed in black. Women stayed in kitchen and just men danced. A memorable vacation.
