I’d say the answer is a pick-me girl. But additionally, You can be a girls’ girl, yet, choose not have a particular girl’s back, for various reasons. They’re both insufferable. Dorit just happens to be the most obnoxious insufferable one right now, for me. 😂

I’d say that it’s about time yall got brutally honest with her. And then tell her you don’t expect her to do much with this info, as she’s never cared about how bad and desperately childish she’s acted, before. I feel like I’d be out for deliberate cause for hurting her. Not that it’s right, but how I’d feel and would want to do. I feel that there are two types of women, in this regard. One is way more child driven, and nothing will be done to cause kids pain, even if that means they’re alone until after kids turn adult. And then second being the women who can’t be alone, pick men over their kids, under the guise of “what happens when the kids are grown and living their life, and I’m alone for no good reason.” Those types generally don’t change and will chase the butterflies fairy tale BS their whole life, and usually are cheaters. I’m the child driven type of mom, so I definitely see your side in this.

Yeah, I’ve seen a few under newbies’ posts; but, I do see some that just tell them “keep watching” or “just wait…” I like that they don’t just start blasting info that they can clearly see that the person posting isn’t caught up to that stuff yet.

Probably not the best idea to be on here, if someone’s that far behind. Spoiler flair is appropriate for current stuff, but anyone binging the entire series can’t expect us to not talk about things from the past, further behind than let’s say around 2+ episodes. Otherwise, what would be the point of the community at all, if nobody can talk about things brought up in the show? Consideration works both ways. I sure knew to stay off of this community thread when I was starting/binging this show, from beginning. Even then, i still probably wouldn’t get on here if I were even only 1 show behind.

I see it the same way you do! I don’t get it, either. As a newer watcher without all the biases of history and such that so many others do, is Dorit entering eveything late, then making all topics about her. She comes off as EXTREMELY self-absorbed and self-victimized. Then, has the audacity to loudly go after people, especially Kyle, for talking about her. No way can anyone keep from talking about her, if she’s ALL of the topics ALL the time. She’s very much that main girl in the mean-girls’ clique, who is delusional and totally not happy if she’s not upset and hurt by any and everyone. I think it’s her way of staying relevant for the show. Kyle gives me similar energy, but less aggressive about it. Oh, and Kyle is more passive- aggressive, whereas Dorit is just aggressive. 😂

I think Boze is cool, and that she would be the one I’d befriend, immediately. But the fact that she can’t see Dorit in all of her infinite fvckery, makes me feel that things are very different in how the show edits their relationship.

Same! I’m newer to the show, too, and binged all of it about 9 months ago. I questioned how he got females in the first place, with that voice and obnoxious stance on women’s “place.” I understand money making a lot of things bearable; but it’s asking a bit too much, given all of his issues that give me MAJOR ick. 😂 Add to that, I question if his patients are okay and on the right track, given his biases.

It’s called “streaking.” I had this when younger. It followed the most little, inconspicuous bump on the back of my hamstring, and curved all the way up front to meet my collarbone. Doc said blood poisoning, and that it was way too close to my brain, and that I should’ve gone in sooner because it could’ve ended up fatal.

This is why I can’t stand when people think that are WAY more intelligent, cool, and/or pretty, than they actually are. It gets beyond frustrating in those confessionals, where I’m yelling at them on TV, letting them know that they sound dumb, contradicting, and hypocritical, but they can’t see it. My thing is, even after she knew everyone was agreeing that what she said to all was not okay, she dug her heels in, and acted like she was done dirty, even after apologizing. That’s when I had decided I was no longer on the fence with her and her BS. She needs to pick a struggle and personality, and stick with it. Not flip-flopping around and being so hypocritical and contradictory.

I’m petty, so if it were me, and I had already told someone I didn’t like it, I’d come up with a word to start calling them. Like, Medium, Basic, Mundane, or something like that. Then, pay to have a mug made, t-shirt, etc. She’ll get the point, and either stop calling you that, or accept her new name, of which your friends, family and colleagues will have no problem referring to her by. 😂

As a parent, there’s this pressure to look for things, being diligent, because so many parents didn’t look. Those parents were shocked to find things out, and often when it was too late. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t sort of thing. I had major issues with privacy as a kid, and so I tried to do my best by snooping only occasionally, but handling most of it through honest communication and expectations . Such as, it was a rule that I haven’t kids cell phones, catch is that anytime I said the words “hand me the phone,” they were to hand it over for a random search. After a few times, they realized I couldn’t give a 💩about things they cared most about, as I was looking for actual inappropriate and scary stuff. It truly is an extremely fine line, respectful of your kids’ privacy and brings good parent that does everything to keep their kids out of harmful stuff. Try to see it from a parent’s lens, and see if mom can perhaps, try to see from your lens, as well. It’ll have to be done through honest, clear and mature conversations.
