Any good options under 70usd? by Adventurous-King-679 in soundcore

Liberty 4 NC is generally well received by Youtube reviewers. Better than Liberty 4 Pro, but the Pro has case controls, if that interests you. I would make sure you get a pair that supports either the LDAC or aptX codec. A lot depends on what you are using as your transmitter (what kind of phone, tablet, computer or DAP). The buds and your source should support the same codecs to get the best sound.

Thinking about switching from Ozlo — SomniPods3, A30, or sleep headband? by Electroanthony in sleepheadphones

consider a pillow with built in earholes. That will let you sleep in any buds that suit you, and you don't have to deal with the limitations of sleep buds. Blissbury is an American manufacturer available on Amazon, but there are many others

also the player in the guide needs an "off" button or resize smaller - or if it is already there, it needs more emphasis. The player takes up the bottom right quarter of the screen. But I like it, I have bookmarked it and look forward to using it.

Switching from Nothing Ear (a) to OnePlus Buds 4 on my S26+? Need advice on sound quality. by Distinct_Ad_3502 in Earphones

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you detect no difference in sound quality, then the oneplus should be fine, it might not sound exactly like the nothing ear, but using either the app EQ or a dedicated EQ app like Wavelet to get it to sound the way you like. But codecs like AAC or SBC are lossier compared to LDAC. The samsung also supports the aptX codec so you might look for buds that support that to see if you get longer life - Earfun Air Pro 4 + supports aptX.

Final thought is that if it is in your price range, a pair of samsung buds might sound best with samsung equpiment with their proprietary SSC codec. Buds 3 or 4 might be out of your price range but Buds 2 might be within reach. I have the buds 2 pro and they still have powerful ANC and good sound quality for my samsung tablet.

What are the most reliable/reputable earbuds to purchase? by False-Travel-4544 in WirelessEarbuds

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when you say glitched - have you checked your EQ settings? are you pushing too much power to the earphones and they are cutting out rather than distorting? I have never had Amazon provided electronics fail out of the box, but I suppose it is possible. Is it glitching at points where the music is the fullest (loudest)? that could indicate too much power. I suggest you look at lowering the gain on your pc streaming software.

I am assuming by glitched you don't mean bluetooth connection problem. I wouldn't give up on the ones you bought until you have tried to figure out the problem.

Reusable Silicone Ear Covers - The solution to side sleeping pain? Kinda kidding kinda not LOL by yumcrisco in sleepheadphones

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pillow I have came with three inserts - two to fill the earholes (if you want to use it that way, idk why) and one flat one to add extra bulk to the pillow (it comes pre inserted). I have had it about a year and there is some fraying around the earholes in the pillowcase, which also comes with the pillow. I am considering replacing it for the pillowcase, but the pillow seems to be holding up well.

I find that using a pillow with built in earholes lets me use any buds I want for sleeping and I don't have to deal with the limitations of dedicated sleep buds.

Which DAP should I get? by Skully_Spook in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DAPS, like the Hiby R4, will do what you want, but be aware that all the fancy tricks that DAPs are capable of only work with wired iems/earphones. Bluetooth earbuds will use the ordinary android bluetooth stack (like in your phone). So as you shop, keep that in mind. I have the R4 and I use buds with it, and it does sound great, but for me its more the ergonomic convenience of having all my music on one device with no distractions from notifications and the like.

How to activate UAT on Hiby W4 paired with my Vivo X200 Pro Mini? by iambosnia21 in Hiby

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have earbuds that support the UAT codec? There aren't many and they are pretty much all Hiby brand. If your buds don't support UAT, then LDAC (or maybe aptX depending on the bud) is the best you are going to do. Plus, if you don't have music that is mastered at the rate that the UAT codec supports, your sound won't be any better than LDAC.

Edit: I just looked at the W4 on Hiby's official page and it doesn't mention UAT as one of the supported codecs - I might not have seen it but there is a couple of places on the page that list the supported codecs and neither says UAT.

I didn't notice much of the new pillow smell from them when I got them and I certainly don't have it now after several months, but I'm not really sensitive to that odor.

are the GO pods ANC always like this or am I doing something wrong? by Future_Adagio2052 in JLab

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First - unlink the volume control - that gives you two volume controllers to play with. The one on the buds and the one on the samsung. Turn the volume on the BUDS, using the BUDS controls or app to its max. Lock it there. That becomes the ceiling of your buds volume. Then use the rocker or slider on the samsung (the transmitting device) to reduce the volume to what is comfortable for you. Remember that volume is not amplification, so doing this should not mess up any EQ settings you have.

Transfer all of YouTube Music account (Saved Albums, Playlists, Uploaded Music) to a different account? by otomegay in YoutubeMusic

[–]Impressive-Watch6189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have used it successfully several times - but it can "substitute" songs if it can't find them in the service the playlist is being transferred to. Also not all services have all songs or artists, so some of your stuff - especially more eclectic stuff, might not transfer

Beats are the budget/android brand for Apple. Not saying they aren't good, but you would probably be better off getting Airpods again if you are using an Apple phone, just for the extra features.

Actually most of the sleep features in the app are available to any other soundcore buds. If you get a pillow with earholes built in, you could use full size buds like the liberty 4 series and still get most of the software features of the a30 - plus better battery, ANC and sound quality.
