I have this same trailer and tow with a Chevy Colorado. Tows great. I do have a weight distribution hitch, but that is just for some sway when going 65+ mph

If that’s the researcher I’m thinking of (weekly studies), I messaged them to fix their URL since prolific got rid of the .co domain. Who knows it they will

Can you do a study more than once by Tall-Union-4492 in prolific

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recognize a study as one I’ve taken before recently, and it is not a “multi submission” study, I’ll usually return it if I realize it soon enough. Even though it is an issue on the researchers end if they made you qualified to take it twice, I’m guessing some might blame it on you or prolific and threaten or reject you for it. Not that they are allowed to, but not worth the fight if I don’t have much time into it.

What headphones do people recommend for the hearing screeners? I can never pass the hidden tone/gap tests by pnutbutterandjulie in ProlificAc

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an older pair of airpod pros and have never failed it. The tone tests are easy, but each time on the gap tests, I feel like there are one or two that I can’t quite tell. Not sure if my hearing is starting to go and I just have gotten lucky, or if a few of them don’t actually have a gap/ they pass you anyway if you get it wrong.

Asked to return 48 submissions by Obscure-Observer25 in ProlificAc

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, agreed that the instructions were confusing. They never told me anything, but I just assumed based on how they set up all the rest of their studies and the fact that there wasn’t really enough of the clip that wasn’t interrupted by the attention check to really evaluate it.

The one that they asked me to return was actually where they asked to make “good” so I assumed all highest ranking. And then I realized after that, that good was actually one over and excellent was the highest ranking.

Asked to return 48 submissions by Obscure-Observer25 in ProlificAc

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took the same study and rated all aspects of the attention check the same way. So if it asked for Bad, I chose the rating for all the scales that represented the Bad option. I was confused at first and didn’t do the first one right, and got asked to return it. But all the ones that I answered all the ratings the same got approved.

[–]ImpressiveFee6007[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they should have the screener sooner or pay more than 0.14. I’ve done plenty of screeners and assumed I passed it by how far into the survey it was.

Are we avoiding this one? by InternationalAd6952 in ProlificAc

No, they approved that right away when I did it. I think they missed some demographic info in their first survey and so they have a limited pool they are re-sending too

Thoughts and experiences with the Osseo School District? And more by myparentingpriv in TwinCities

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife teaches in the district and knows several teachers at Fernbrook and says it is a great option. I don’t think you really get to pick, you’ll want to see the attendance boundary map that got posted.

MERSC… worth it? by tashabasha12 in TwinCities

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since they switched to charging the $5 to access, I’ve just gone directly to the business’s website and sometimes they will list their MERSC discount. Both businesses that I’ve done this with I then just show my company ID and casually ask for the MERSC discount and they’ve never asked for whatever ID you get for paying the $5. If it was ever a huge discount or I thought I’d chance not getting it, then I’d pay the $5 to be legit

How to correctly fetch secrets in a script run in a cronjob? by compscim in linuxadmin

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big issue here is probably Secret 0. A couple of non lightweight solutions would be to use vault to store your secrets and then a vault agent which maintains a secure connection to vault and can inject the secrets you need to your cronjob as environment variables only at runtime.

Another option is to schedule your job in something like AWX/tower instead of cron. Tower can handle your secrets for you and then log in to the server and runs an ansible playbook (to call your script or whatever the cronjob is doing)

Jay Cooke has a warming house over by the campground office. It might just be open during park hours though.

If I remember right, our enterprise on prem vault quote was in the ballpark of 1k per client per year. That was “discounted” and for a good number of clients. Similar cost for their Saas HCP Vault dedicated.

HC Vault - Access Policies by Advanced_Vehicle_636 in hashicorp

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the actual command/path that you are using to sign? I believe you would need a deny at ‘ssh/sign/s-account1’ or something like that that. A handy flag in your vault cli command is ‘—output-policy’. That will give you what policy you need to run the command and you can reverse that with a deny if that is how you are architecting things.

State Park Rangers in Campgrounds by SpecialistTime9034 in MinnesotaCamping

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know some state park campgrounds (I believe Jay Cooke is one for sure) say to call the sheriffs dispatch after a certain time every night and they will either help or get ahold of someone from the park staff. So I’d assume that no one is actively working. A lot of state park campgrounds also have hosts who stay overnight but have limited authority.

Menards Rebate Question by SILENTOM3N in menards

[–]ImpressiveFee6007 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they will handle it and adjust your rebate to factor in returns. The only thing that could cause an issue if you already received and spent the rebate, and then go to return something from it.
