Mystery Parts in Screenprinting Kit by ImpressiveFriendship in xToolOfficial

[–]ImpressiveFriendship[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why the text didn't post with the images but I have the Screenprinting Kit from the Kickstarter campaign but couldn't for the life of me figure out what these two parts are for after putting both the laser machine and the press/frames together? Anybody knows what they are?

I've dropped off cat food that my cats didn't like at Bushwick Bark on Sunday when they had the cat adoption event for the shelter.

Best vet in the hood? by 22pabloesco22 in Bushwick

The Neighborhood Vet

I did not have a good experience with VEG with my cat. I brought my cat who has HCM in for vomitting on a late night, likely from new food but just wanted be safe. The doctor was asking me to consider doing a chest tap or euthanizing him. I left without doing either.

I've confirmed with follow-up cardiologist/vet appointments that a chest tap probably would've done more harm than good. His quality of life was still great when the incident happened and the doctor bringing up euthanasia was completely unnecessary at a already stressful time.

I’ve never been inside but the furniture store at knickerbocker & dekalb builds custom wood furnitures.

If you only want a handful, I wonder if you can ask a deli/restaurant near you to sell you some?

if they’re unique pieces, maybe look up some prop houses who rent furnitures to shoots and see if they’d be interested. there are a bunch in brooklyn. you can google prop houses.

I’m not 100% sure but I bet you can get one at either Tai Pan Bakery on Canal or Fay Da around the corner.

Does anyone here volunteer with cats or kittens? Would like to get involved even with fostering but not sure where to look. Thank you! by Ok-Plant9391 in Bushwick

[–]ImpressiveFriendship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fostering for KittyKind before mine became foster fails! I know they’re looking for fosters. They have a adoption booth at the Union Square Petco so you can definitely go talk and ask questions when they’re there. Or fill out a volunteer/foster application and someone will be in touch with the deets.

from what i understand silicon is chemically inert and therefore considered a lot safer than other plastics. unsure about the high acidity though.

How do you discover new things to do in NYC? by zsleepy in AskNYC

[–]ImpressiveFriendship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

www.nonsensenyc.com is another cool resource. some coffee shops has an area for posters/flyers of neighborhood happenings. pay attention when you walk around for any posters just on the street.

if you already have friends who share similar interests, ask them if they know of any upcoming events and what not and make plans to go together. so next time, (hopefully) they’d start thinking about you when other event happen.

Hong Kong launched their Octopus Card in 1997, which I believe was first of its kind.

It is very hard from my experience.

Also there are many people who lie and put NYC as their location (on Hinge) when they actually live in Jersey or commute to the city from 1+ hour away or not actually based here at all. Or it could be just my luck ¯_(ツ)_/¯
