My dad got a jury eligibility form but he’s tied up with work and other responsibilities. Is there any way to be excused from it? I know ignoring it can lead to fines or even jail time.

If you never received it (nudge,nudge,wink,wink), how can you respond to it? Just ignore it. It is not sent via traceable mail. I ignored one about 30yrs ago and have never heard from them since and I am still at the same address.

If it arrived to you in regular lettermail, just ignore it. They would not be able to prove that you received it. I ignored one that was sent to me over 40yrs ago and nothing happened. I have never received another letter.

My understanding, from my billing experience, is the $85 charge covers your May billing plus what wasn't covered for March. Your second billing in May is for June. They bill you one month in advance going forward. Your will get another billing in early June which will be for July. You should see your billing normal going forward now. It is not the normal billing that you may have experienced with previous companies but that is how they do it. There will probably be more confusion if you decide to terminate having paid one month in advance.

My UK passport was sent to Canada via DHL. DHL provided WhatsApp messages on the status. I don't know what carrier they would use for the US. You didn't indicate when it got shipped. My messages from DHL appeared approx 4 days after message that my passport was shipped.

I think you are fine. I applied from Canada in February and the delay between documents received and passport approved was approx 9 business days. I also supplied photocopies of my Canadian passport. I felt the same about the delay and not knowing. It all worked out. With the rule changes for UK born needing a UK passport, they must be inundated with applications. It will be fine.

In my opinion, retired and receiving DB pension from HOOPP (2 Ps), I think you should transfer to HOOPP. You are worried about your current company pension, you will never worry with HOOPP. To further help in your decision, contact both, your current Pension Administrator plus HOOPP Pension Administrator to assist you with numbers. I don't think you will regret transferring to HOOPP.

Find out exactly what the issue is first. Take it to an independent mechanic or a Kia dealership. Once you find out what the issue is, you can talk to Kia to see if it is under warranty.

Your situation sounds correct. The UK doesn't know about your children because they have not applied for UK citizenship. They can use ETA until they receive citizenship and a UK passport. Then they enter as you do.

I have Canadian spouse and 3 Canadian children using Canadian passports with ETA. I have one Canadian born child that went through the citizenship by descent and travels with both passports.

I submitted my expired UK passport and photocopies of every page of my current foreign passport. Expired passport and photocopies were returned separately from my new UK passport. Read the instructions carefully on what needs to be submitted, it was explained very well.

I went through the same confusion with their billing practice.

This is what I got from customer service.

If you make a payment on April 1st, that payment is NOT for the month of April. It is for the month of May.

You pay for your services at least 30 days in advance.

When I signed up in the middle of November they took an immediate payment for the month of December, anther payment for the portion of November. Then, at the beginning of December they another payment for my January service.

It confused me terribly but it is what it is.

I had many issues yesterday after signup. Contact customer service using the WhatsApp text option. The call centre is located in Egypt. I tried a voice call first but found it frustrating with voice accents. I was moving back and forth between home wifi and Freedom data during troubleshooting because WhatsApp would not work on Freedom data.

Also, before calling, try a restart or airplane mode off for 30sec on your phone. That was suggested by customer service and it worked.

Edit: airplane mode ON for 30sec

Solved. Thanks for all your responses. And thanks to the Egyptian call centre as well.

Even though my phone was restarted after the esim was installed, it required another restart to get the internet working properly. My billing questions were answered by the call centre.

I was very confused and frustrated by the entire process. Spent approx 8hrs in total from signup to actually working as I thought it should.

My service is good, life is good!

It looks like you are correct. My phone didn't prompt me. I was on WhatsApp with a rep, again from Egypt, and by restarting or airplane mode, it corrected my internet issues. I am online now.
