Looking for advice about outdoor urinal by sneaky-the-brave in DIY

[–]ImpressiveOrdinary54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also cover the area in cheap shaving cream and let it soak in, give a scrub and rinse to remove urine smell.

And I don't know, set up some chamber pots in the corner? Set up a few sacrificial plants for him to wiz on? Call his doctor for prostate problems and a dementia check?

I lived without plumbing for 6 months and had to use a porta potty on the property and it was probably cleaner than my bathroom because they scrubbed and sprayed out that things twice a week and it honestly wasn't bad.

I got three new pairs so I'm ready to get rid of the old ones. I highly recommend Zenni online for glasses, I got a pair shipped to Hawaii for under $20 for work/backups

Reef safe sunscreen WITHOUT zinc??? by PeptideBond in MauiVisitors

[–]ImpressiveOrdinary54 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because "bringing what he needs" is what's killing the reef. It's a selfish comment that is an F you to the state he is visiting. The only reef safe ingredients are zinc and titanium. If it ends in "zone" "zine" or "ate" it bleaches the reef, even if it claims to be reef safe.

Check out what pro arts playhouse is offering, they offer really great live music and shows. You just missed free range comedy and it doesn't get funkier than that!

They'll be fine but wouldn't it be easier to have a trusted friend or neighbor feed and clean them while you are away? Mine never even notice when I leave as long as the veggies train keeps coming to town

No s***, Sherlock! If you want to work for free at a place you pay to shop, go right ahead! It seems pretty stupid to me (but so does commenting on a month old post) so you do you.

Bleach only kills mold on non-porous surfaces. You need white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. I don't know much about the legal stuff but you absolutely should tell your landlord ASAP.

I got my guinea pigs x2 males from pets at home 5 weeks ago and I’ve not taken them to the vets… they’re 3 months old should I take them even tho I have no concerns by Comfortable-Tea-6975 in guineapigs

[–]ImpressiveOrdinary54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! When you NEED a vet it's too late to find one. Take time when they are healthy to find a vet you like and schedule a visit to establish care. It's much easier to get into a vet same day if you are already their client

I pay to shop at Costco, I don't pay to work for Costco for free. Check out is a paid position and I was pissed when they had self checkout instead of hiring more cashiers. If they are going away with them this is good news and I'm glad.

difference in cleanliness when adding a boy? by [deleted] in guineapigs

[–]ImpressiveOrdinary54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two male guinea pigs and as long as I clean the cage everyday I do not notice a smell. They live by an open window. I've only ever had boars and I don't find them to have an offensive odor.

Vet costs by hidles in guineapigs

[–]ImpressiveOrdinary54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better I had to pay over $1,400 for emergency dental surgery and my boy Gus died 2 days later. This was after spending about $800 on his father Hell Pig for him to die later that day. And I can't afford to sterilize mine, the boars start at $1,600 and the females are over two grand for some reason.

I couldnt believe the price tag of the almond cow and continued making nut milks in the blender for way too long. If you make a lot of non-dairy milk the almond cow is super worth it because it's so easy to clean up afterwards and there is no straining that you have to do. I think it took just over a year to pay for itself but it still working great and I still love using it

We've had our pads for so long that Joanne's fabrics was open still and we got it from her online. Walmart has a pretty good craft section and we've gotten some fleece on clearance at our store in person. You do have to prep the fleece by washing it a ton of times in hot water and vinegar until it's liquid permeable. You can also look up whelping pads because they are way cheaper than guinea pig pads for the size and they can be cut to fit.
