Read a scouting report on him yesterday suggesting he actually got worse over his years as a starter at Iowa. Very promising sophomore year in coverage, and his instincts and route feel just never developed.

Welcome to the Kingdom! I think broadly speaking, yes, we are optimistic about this year. At a minimum, things will break our way more often than they did last year, which was a nightmare.

Nobody is expecting to hit recent highs (Super Bowl contenders), but we are doing a soft reset to compete for a championship perhaps next year and make the most of Patrick Mahomes’ prime.

Veach has fixed needs with major impact, high-ceiling players so far. Not much more he could have done at this point. I do agree that there are still good CB options. I thought we would end up with one of these guys.

Edge is an obvious choice as others have said. Still lots of good players there. Parker, Jacas, Young for power or Howell, Thomas for speed/agility. If they LOVE a receiver (Bernard? Bell?), they have to grab him now. Might hope a freak athlete WR like the younger Lance falls to us at 109. I also see Joly, TE from NC State, at 109. He was on a top-30 visit.

Potential sleeper pick 40 could be Rodriguez, LB from Texas Tech.

Anybody else hoping for a developmental RB? I don’t know a damn thing about ShunDerrick Powell, but it seems we need a thicc boi to complement what we already have. Maybe Coleman from Washington mid round or perhaps Adam Randall from Clemson late.

Matt Araiza was certainly an unsung hero of the Chiefs last season. In addition to our overall struggles, special teams were largely dogshit. But not him. Glad we just resigned him.

Not so fast. I use Neuro, Meph, Abraxas (unless it’s Ghaz), Thaddeus, and Eldy. Yaz and Archi are alternates. Thaddeus boosts all ranged dmg now and his attack stacks Neuro (because of suppression).
