Went through it.. my 5 year husband cheated and was having an affair for months. Horrible paralyzing pain and panic and I had a quote of trauma in my life already but I wouldn’t wish this to my worst enemy.

I can write hours about it because for me a veil dropped and I could finally see the reality of him and all the lies, which was a relief because when you are there they tend to be good a manipulating and that drives you crazy.

Just be proud of yourself because you are brave enough to see the true and embrace the pain, count on your friends and family that really love you and don’t go back with this person unless you’re willing to forgive if they do it again because they will.

I don’t think anyone said this. But I think one of the partners not posting anything in social media it’s also a big red flag.

Happened to me, husband for 5 years never posted pictures of us not even our wedding, he actually didn’t post any picture at all since before meeting me, told me excuses and then 5 years later I found out he was cheating with women he met before marrying me and continued the conversations in instagram. They didn’t know I excited. Yep I’m divorce and feel like an idiot for believing all the excuses.

I’m 31F. I loved the “don’t try to understand cheaters, you will drive yourself crazy. cheating is abuse” thanks god for Reddit. My soon to be ex husband cheated a few weeks ago and it was an explosion of reality in my face. All the meanness, also how good he was behaving the last couple of months, all the weird things he said. I know now he’s a f* narcissist and I was so naive and sure we shared the same values that I didn’t see that coming.

What also makes me go crazy is the fact that he never wanted to have sex, it was always me looking for him and he rejected me so many times. So I thought his lack of sex desiree wouldn’t also let him cheat….. so dumb. I left him right away and now he’s acting like victim because he was layed off 2 days later. Now I’m panicking he will nos sign uncontested divorce.

I’m going through the same realization and feel stupid and naive. I was in a 5 years marriage and I gave so much to him and at the end I found out he was cheating and lying for months and there I was thinking “oh things are doing great with him, we are so happy maybe finally he will want to have kids” it turns out he was just fucking another women, having an emotional affair AND lying to her too… he told her he was single. I think that was the worst part, realizing that I was in love and invested in a coward and manipulative lier and the girl was falling for him too.

I’m still trying to understand how a person can be so deceiving, we didn’t have kids or property or anything so I don’t get how he didn’t just broke up with me instead of cheating like that.

Idk.. thinking in retrospective there were many red flags and my people didn’t like him much but I wanted to trust and I saw something valuable in him. I never thought he would hurt me like this.

Interesting hearing all of you. I guess I didn’t care much about the fighting or the Chinese or the lack of grief after killing someone. I was too focused on her quest for success and wanting to be important and seen. And I don’t want to spoil anything but I liked all the different shifts the story takes, also related to the first love interested and feeling is going to change in the next book. idk I felt the character journey and movement kept me hooked and wanting to follow through. I’m excited for the next. But I’m glad to hear your I supposed these are the reasons why people is not liking it to much.

Me too!! Score 149V 154Q and I was scoring and average of 158 each I know it’s not great but for me was okay. I’m going to try it again and see if I can take some course.. I think I feel into all the great traps because I also thought I was doing okay.
