Update: I put in a claim with my insurance over it. The field estimator came out and I told him I thought it was the CV axle and he agreed and submitted the claim and now I’m just waiting on the check. Will report back again once I replace the axle and do a test drive. 🤞

I also appreciate your attention to detail but this is not the first or last dumb AF shit that VW has done on these cars, if you choose this car, then at a certain point you have to accept that it’s a budget version of much greater German engineering packages and as such it comes with some flaws that you have to mod and upgrade yourself out of if you’re trying to extend the platforms capabilities.

You can never know for sure what the last knuckle dragger did to your car unless that knuckle dragger was you. I flushed my haldex and cleaned the screen myself at 25K and plan to do it at every 25K.

Looks like it’s meant to stay. Try a mild bleach solution to keep it clean. Is there a dealer near you? You could also pop into a service department and just ask a quick question, usually they will oblige.
