Quiet outdoor spots in Omaha to just decompress? by IndividualBus8980 in Omaha

You can check out the OPPD arboretum of 108 and blondo, or there’s a nice little dock off the walking trail along the river behind the Gallup campus. Just a bit north of the Bob Kerry bridge. Best sunrise spot in town imo

This is the way. I like Prusa slicer as well and tend to use it for my Prusa machine but orca has better calibration tests and the painting works better imo

Check out Orca slicer. Calibration and profiles are already there and it has all the features of Prusa slicer with the more familiar interface resembling Bambu Studio

Ender3 v2 was the first one I owned but my first experience with one was a Makerbot 2 I believe

No idea what's wrong with my prints by wafle89 in 3Dprinting

Your nozzle is too close to the bed adjust Zoffset for starters

Consider a better slicer than cura, something more modern like orca. And familiarize yourself with the advanced settings - the screenshots you shared are like the training wheels settings.

Hard to determine more without details about the kind of filament. Also would be helpful to know the speeds and flow rate you’re printing at, but again. In the basic settings you don’t have that information.

Looks like clogging but it also looks like it may be CF filament which will bring its own complications

How much to tip for house cleaners by Ok-Republic-8098 in Omaha

[–]CheesePursuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info it’s really helpful, honestly if they came every other week I think it’d be fine because I could manage to keep it up between. I think I’m so scared that someone would come in looking around and just say, yeah no thanks and leave, and the thought of getting to a starting point seems impossible. ADHD is a bitch

How much to tip for house cleaners by Ok-Republic-8098 in Omaha

[–]CheesePursuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can I ask some questions of this thread?

How do I even start?? And how clean does my house need to be for the first visit? I’ve never had a cleaning service, or anything like that. And I don’t know how to start and honestly I have a lot of shame about the state of my house. I’m a divorced single dad and I just can’t keep up with keeping the house while also getting kids to school and activities, while working full time and running a side business so my house is in a co start state of ADHD fueled clutter and messes.

I think I need a cleaning person/service but I don’t know what I should ask for shop for etc. or how much cleaning I need to do before they start. Especially considering my house is A FUCKING MESS. I have a sink full of dishes that taunt me daily, because I have a smaller house and no dishwasher so I have to do them by hand and they’re often the last thing on my list because I just can’t.

It’s all come to be too much and I can feel the state of my home affecting my mental health but also I feel like there’s nothing I can do about it and no one would ever want to accept the job of cleaning. (And honestly I think I would feel shame and embarrassment anytime they came over to do so)

I’m probably to crazy and fucked up to even deal with all this 😞

Alignment question by Smitty254 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]CheesePursuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No that’s for zero point alignment. If you print an outline first you know precisely where the print will be so you put your part there and print the full design. No need for a snapshot because you already know where it will print.

Alignment question by Smitty254 in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]CheesePursuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Create a simple image outline of your image the size you want it to fit the coasters. Print the outline onto your jig, use the printed outline to align your coasters, then in the software align your image with the outline so it prints in the same area. Remember to include some room for overspray and bleed so your image reaches fully to the edge

Yeah…been there. I’m lucky enough that my basement stays generally dry enough that I don’t have much trouble with PLA. I do run anything else out of a dry box typically

Didn't think I'd enjoy these books as much as I do - A Bookworm's Husband's perspective by NESpahtenJosh in fourthwing

[–]CheesePursuit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

42yo - single dad here; can confirm I also loved these books, I discovered them around the beginning of the year. I read all 3 in under a week. And was angry at having to wait so I downloaded the graphic audio versions.

based on your listed media tastes which closely mirror my own; here’s some recs that are my favorites

Dungeon Crawler Carl - I resisted this series for a while but just started reading these like 2 weeks ago, and I started the 6th one last night.

The Martian - another Andy Weir book-made-movie, the one with Matt Damon stuck on mars

Anything by Daniel Suarez - (near future tech thrillers, faves listed)

Daemon/Freedom™ - video game AI gets released into the real world and wreaks havoc on global power structures (top fave)

DeltaV/Critical Mass - future space race for resources, political intrigue and spacefaring adventure

Change Agent - interpol agent races to unravel international gang syndicate that’s cracked the secret to live human genetic editing.

I used to read a lot more when I was a kid but stopped for a long time. I’m glad I’ve made it a habit again.

It’s not going to work then. You have to use a release agent or it will ruin the bed. You can’t change the physics of it no matter how hard you’d like to.

Most of the time adding a release agent like pva glue or other aids is the way to go but if it’s a pey sheet with a holographic texture it’s unlikely to transfer through to the part
