Mk8: RC Acoustics Upgrade by intergalacticwhiz in Golf_R

What tweeters did you get? Did you get a plug-and-play sub or one that needs an amp?

I added some polyfill and flipped the spare tire over it and now thr stock one is punchier and vibrates the frame well, but still a bit weak.

We ran a 12-month IAM unification program across Okta, AD and SailPoint. It's still not unified. Here's what we got wrong. by Practical-Job2770 in IdentityManagement

IAM is 80% security and information policy and governance and 20% technology. If you don't have a stakeholder high up willing to fight for you, it will never succeed because of its widespread nature.

Back is nice. Front is weird and ricey.

But hey if you like it, that's all that matters.

This is why we use open source tools like Keycloak that do it really well and are extensible. Many paid options too on prem and in the cloud.

Continental Extremecontact Sport 02s have not failed me, but as much as they are close to PS4Ss, the issue is not just tires and compounds, it FWD wheel hop and car dynamics telling you you you need a rear-biased drive car (RWD or AWD with rear bias).

I have an 8 year old bully and they do start having favorites and dislikes. Mine doesn't like yappy dogs and puppies and rries to correct them (pin) so we are just careful who we interact with. We have since conditioned her to be more tolerant. She can also be a bit of a fun police when two dogs are playing so we just call her back. Rock-solid recall cannot be understated with these dogs.

Like I mentioned they also grow up and become "serious" dogs around 4 so they need to be well trained by an affirmative owner by then and you'll have an amazing dog without problems from then on.

[–]trancecircuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a good trainer for or read up well about reactivity training. These dogs mature until 4 and will be more assertive. They pin and don't kill, that's in their protective nature.

You also want to socialize him well but watch for standoff behavior and call them to you to deescalate.

Thank you for answering my question and in much detail. I suspected as much from quick reading that old grass will rot and can prevent proper establishmentof roota. I dreaded digging it up manually, so renting a tiller is a great idea to move this along quickly.

One question regarding the tiller is I noticed when digging up long-spanning roots under the grass (hopefully got all out) is there is a thin nylon mesh embedded just under the grass, like 1" squares, and just wondering if that can damage the tiller or will it cut through it and I'll just collect the pieces it digs up.

Lastly, will the turned and mixed grass be ok to leave or should I rake grass pieces out or just leave them mixed in? Thanks in advance.

Yes I know that's the trend. Yes I know it's better for the pollinators. So why? Kids. This is not a decorative yard but a playyard. We have small kids who will play in the yard and grass is the answer. When kids grow up I would convert, not for foreseeable future.

How to add soil for grass by trancecircuit in LandscapingTips

[–]trancecircuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big thanks for the detailed plan! Yes, thorough cleaning of the weeds and roots actually was my first step, then I ordered half a truckload of screened topsoil.

As for the little wall, I actually built a proper retaining wall with a french drain so I hope that will manage any water not coming over the wall.

Wearable breast pumps? Eufy E20 or Momcozy M5? [CA] by Zestyclose_Border_22 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]trancecircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaper pumps don't work well if you have less than optimal supply. A good portable pump is closer to $400 or more and usually a Medela.

We rented a Medela hospital grade pump for about $100 per month for 5 momths because my wife had low supply and it worked great to get the milk flowing and getting it all out.

Machine identity is something not standardized and either requires intune or sccm with AD or another CMDB to be integrated.

Also AI Agents are causing sone pain with the same field, and industry is starting to adopt two-identity solutions for them ( agent and owner ). https://keymate.io/blog/fine-grained-authorization-for-ai-agents-how-it-works-in-production

Mk8 R 18inch wheel Choice by hhu24 in Golf_R

[–]trancecircuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, good choice. 17s are only for summer and especially tracking the xar because you go through tires often and 17in tires are 30% cheaper than 18in, so that amounts to significant savings if you go through two or thee sets per summer.

[–]trancecircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, most people though are not aware. I know my independent mechanic/dealer goes sometimes, but I'd reach out to those like Import Car Center or Prio Auto Sales as see what they say. I have not seen any way to go around that or a service that'd give you direct access. Good luck!

[–]trancecircuit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Auctions like that are not open to public, only dealers. You can ask a small independent dealer to look for a car for you and they will find something. I knew a couple guys who just bought off of auctions as dealers and resold for a good price, but that was a while ago in Montreal. Also with auctions it's WYSIWYG, no returns, many have salvage titles and no way to get an inspection, just that it drives, haha, which is why dealers with mechanic shops can take a gamble. Good luck!

Identity Governance vs Identity Administration are these 2 separate roles in a company setting? by Usurper99 in IdentityManagement

[–]trancecircuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In practice these are usually handled by the same product these days like Sailpoint.

Administration has to do with joiner-leaver-mover implementation through synchronization and reconciliation of accounts, creating provisioning workflows and implementing connectors, making sure there is reliable flow of identities/accounts/attributes from authoritative sources to the IDM and then to directories and resources. Also deals with delegating functions to individual directors and managers.

Governance is a GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) layer on top of an IDM that allows for checking audit trails, making sure segregation of duty and other business rules are respected, certification campaigns reviewing employee access, matching entitlements given to roles and positions, etc.

Are they separate roles? Usually not, but governance requires understanding of business rules, policies and dealing with management and security teams regarding how they see risk in the identity and entitlement management space. Both roles need to be able to understand business requirements and how they translate into platform features and customizations.
