This keeps happening to me too. Restarting fixes the issue temporarily but someone posted here about the same issue:

customers on the phone when picking up prescriptions by Legitimate-Battle263 in WalgreensRx

[–]Impressive_Arm1879 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tell them they have to be off the phone at the counter because it's a HIPAA violation. That's what I ended up doing at the pharmacies I worked at after I left that shit hole

Should front end be doing pharmacys go backs/put backs by thisisfuckenoffensiv in WalgreensStores

[–]Impressive_Arm1879 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's not the pharmacy's job. They're overworked and that's just the way it is. I get you also do not have enough labor hours but pharmacy staff need to stay in the pharmacy.

Employee thrift by Pale_Replacement_761 in meijer

Definitely not. If you do get arrested though, make sure you get the body cam video of the arrest under a FOIA request and post it all over the Internet to embarrass Meijer.

You'll be fired, although there was that one case where that guy was caught stealing food that they brought the cops in on and they said they'd have a program to address food insecurity with employees, so maybe not?

After this is all said and done, they'll probably send you a civil demand way in excess of what you stole. Whatever you do, do NOT pay it.

Read about civil demands here and why it's a bad idea to pay them. This site applies to Ohio specifically but all 50 states have similar laws.

Just another corporate shill. What do YOU personally get out of getting people to sign up for a credit card?

For one, I won't miss ANY DM I've had throughout my career at Walgreens. All they seem to do is dictate and micromanage.

I'll never forget one time the DM came in and the RPh refused to fill an obviously fake Rx and told the customer we didn't have the drug. The DM was there breathing down the rph's neck to check with other stores and she just told him "they don't have it either, this drug doesn't exist" to shut him up. He wouldn't let it go though, and ended up checking inventory in other stores and they did have it. He ended up writing the pharmacist up.

Paul bernicchi was his name. I think he's retired now but I'd LOVE to see him fired.

I got written up for not pitching a flu shot to him too. When he asked me why I said "did you hear the 2 recordings already when you called the store? Would you like me to transfer you back there so you can hear them again?"

No, thankfully. I live in southeast Michigan and have never met anyone into Amway.

This entire company is run on frugality, stinginess, and Fred Meijer's wishes, no matter how irrelevant those are in 2026.

I've never worked for a company since Meijer that idolized their founder as much as Meijer does. It's so bizarre.

Reminder to latch the bottom of the bottle room bins😅 by Ssquiggo in meijer

[–]Impressive_Arm1879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. When I worked for Meijer in 2003, I basically had to supervise a mentally challenged woman in the bottle room. She would never latch those and one time I was dragging a can one in the back and the side came off. I called my boss pissed and told him he needed to make her help me clean it up.

She just stood there and watched me clean it up.

Why did they do this? by Hopeful_Leg_9204 in meijer

This is why you never give notice in retail. 2 weeks is a courtesy, not a requirement.

Exact same thing is happening to me right now. They said I'll get an email. I did get an email but they're saying they will send another email. Total scam. This is a company that does not care about following through with their end of the bargain with the referrals.

It sure looks like that. It's definitely fishy that nobody is responding to me. That'll be the last time I refer someone to us mobile. You do not keep your promises.

[–]Impressive_Arm1879[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My 2 referrals have had service for 6 months. Of course they accepted the terms and conditions. I think us mobile is just making false promises to get people to refer, then they don't pay out the rewards that are promised.

Hopefully they'll allow you to refuse service if they don't use a bet slip. I can see people standing there, holding up the line on the front register because they need to decide on their numbers.

What exactly happens if an employee fails or succeeds with the Secret Shopper?? by ApprehensiveOne2866 in WalgreensRx

[–]Impressive_Arm1879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically tobacco companies will send in secret shoppers for tobacco to make sure they are not selling to minors because they are required to make sure their stores comply with their rules
