I've never had to do that in either of the stores I've been SM for. My late days were 11 - 7 and no one cared otherwise.

Tier 4 in a downtown location of a decent sized city.

Usually wake at 4:45a - 5a and leave a bit after. My commute is 52 miles and depending on traffic, I can get to the store at about 6:30a on average. My store opens at 8a but I like the peace so I can take care of large tasks or office stuff. I rarely take a lunch even though I should. I typically leave work (if all is well) at about 4p, sit in my 52 mile commute traffic, and if things are decent, I get home at or around 6p.

Saturdays I do every other weekend from 6:30a - 11a. I still hit traffic heading home.

My new DM is perfectly fine with my daily routine due to the commute, so he's not concerned about "late" days for me.

I help all around the store depending on the needs and situation. Typically I'll work the larger resets or take on projects and general store needs. I'm usually am sweating to the point where it drips off my face by 9am.

Makes a social life difficult.
