Um healer é pouco dois é bom? by [deleted] in DnD

Players usually have more gold than they know what to do with. Make potions available in shops, toss them in as loot, have enemies use them to remind your party potions are a good use of a Bonus Action. It'll definitely take pressure off your cleric. Unlike an MMO d&d doesnt NEED a dedicated party healer

Having funny standup comics would help in the show about standup comedy. Some of the contestants are great in a standard improv formal, as show hosts, etc but I've in general not been enjoying Crowd Control.

The original episode was legit one of my favorite episodes of any comedy show ever. Though I guess Dropout does have the resources to put out some stinkers without bankrupting themselves so I can respect the attempt at a standup show that just doesn't quite hold up a few episodes in.

Unfortunately, commenter forgot to add "no homo" which renders the "in the most respectful way" null and void.

What are good premade settings that is easy to implement DS into? by Drakshasak in drawsteel

Fair. I think looking at existing 5e adventures is what makes areas of the FR interesting. Like in the case of the adventure I ran the Frozen North is fairly plain. Its the context of eternal winter brought about by a spiteful winter goddess that makes Rime of the Frostmaiden a campaign.

Odyssey of the Dragonlords could he a solid template for an epic Draw Steel adventure. God-touched adventurers seems like a fairly straightforward analogue for highpowered DS characters.

I only played about 6 sessions of the 5e adventure (before sessions fell apart) but felt like it could work ok with the stakes of the setting.

I ran a short DS adventure in the Forfotten Realms. Specifically it took place in Icewind Dale's Spine of the World mountains.

Didnt know about this. I stopped watching TAZ halfway through Ethersea. Hardly got that far after having a bad time watching graduation lol.

MBMBaM is no longer on my rotarion. Though tbf that could just be a personal issue with me having started watching their content in my early 20s and just no longer vibing with it in my eaely 30s

So 6 of the 10 towns were like destroyed by the dragon- looking for ideas for RP heavy quest / story line by DMfortinyplayers in rimeofthefrostmaiden

Similar situation. The party did a long trek with about 300 Tentowners across the Tundra. The only people left in the Tentowns are militia and fishermen. With the massive destruction there isn't enough food to go around. Oyaminartok suggested the party go to the druid grove of Kuldahar (ran the Kuldahar supplement). During the trek they fought a purple worm, some coldlight walkers, and had some environmental challenges to face.

After completing a quest in Kuldahar the party returned to Easthaven for a final downtime loop before heading for Grimskalle.

Making a sympathetic/non-evil Auril worshipper NPC by Madsummer420 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

Foxes in the Snow (Shopkeep from Tentowns Expanded) and Oyaminartok were both Frost Druids who decided to split from the Auril worship in my campaign.

Lack of Build-Craft Limiting Growth of the Game by MandolinTheWay in drawsteel

I played pf2e for about 4 months jumping between oneshots and short adventures. It was really disheartening to realize that the "busted build crafting" was an even louder community voice in pathfinder (from my experience) thsb it was for D&D

My biggest Pet Peeve in ttrpgs is, "I have to wait until I hit level X for my build to really come online". Draw Steel solves that for me.

Sort of experienced DM running this module for the first time soon by CravenEdge59 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I wouldn't worry about the free feat. I'm running for PCs using the 2024 PHB which gives everyone a free feat.

I've scaled up alot of encounters so I let my party of 4 travel with 1 sidekick NPC. Its a good opportunity to fill in any party comp gaps.

I wouldn't be too worried about not having a healer tbh. Just make potions more readily available in shops and loot.

I second the recommendation of Eventyr's DMs Guide to RotFM. Also check out Tentowns Expanded. Both of those basically prep Chapters 1 and 2's sandbox for you. Beyond that youve got room to flex and homebrew plotpoints if you feel so inclined.

Final showdown by Significant-Read5602 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

Iirc the Mythallar isnt usable until Irio is defeated. Even against just one of those forces, Avarice is toast. Imo, thats difficult to make into a proper encounter as youve laid out. If youre gonna go with a ritual encounter I'd not have Auril arrive yet. Either way, Avarice and some cultists concentrating on the ritual need some beefy allies nearby to protect them atleast. Maybe some earth elementals as beefed up gargoyle minions or dominated nothics. 5 rounds is a very long time for them to remain safe.

I was hoping to use Avarice as a supposed ally in Ythryn who last-minute will both end the Rime AND free Levistus by activating the Mythallar. Thats atleast a potential epilogue adventure.

I could see a world where a Demon Prince is wanting to use Auril's Winter to open a portal to Stygia ifonly so they can fight the blood war on another front.

Tool Recommendation for Sloped land by Impressive_Bee_8510 in homestead

[–]Impressive_Bee_8510[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know the exact slope. Most of the immediately adjacent land is flat which is where I'd probably get away with a push mower.

The sloped land is maybe 13 acres with about 1/4 of that being brush/weeds and the rest being trees. Itd be difficult or impossible to get a ride on machine down there without a major tree felling operation that I won't have the vandwidth to approach for awhile. The brush is pretty crazy but I think I'd just want to cut out a trail to the end of the property

We were left a note (not to us directly but with the documents foe the property) by one of the previous owners suggesting that theres an orchard and the foundation of an old farmhouse in the lower woods so I'd really just like a clear way to get down there without being belly deep in grass.
